Moar Pokeymanz, yes.I feel like my style is finally starting to branch out from the Lion King ripoff it used to be. I'm aiming to make it semirealism.
These are the gender differences between Shinx and its two stages (still debating whether or not Pokemon magically illogically 'evolve' in my little world, or if they grow into their 'evolutionary form' like they would in real life... what's your opinion? My take on the Pokemon world, BTW, is meant is to be realistic. As realistic as blue/black electric felines with ex-ray eyes can get, anyway.
). Hey, lions have different appearances and the Luxray family is entirely based on lions and ex-rays so I don't think the mere 'females have smaller manes' really cuts it.
This is more of the 'average' look, not all the females have smooth chins, and not all the males are so messily furry; and the colors can be different (as long as they're at least a little bit purplish, bluish, blackish, and/or goldish if they're shiny).
What all your opinions?

Why they gotta be 'a little bit purplish, etc.? Can they not change colors upon evolving like the horse breed in Europe that starts black and ends up white? Why's it gotta be a color thing? /facepalm! My own little bigot. How sweet.
Of course not all the males are so messily furry, just look at Bruce and Dirk, such a sweet couple and always so well groomed.

And speaking of evolution, I never quite got the whole magically-instantly-changing-shape thing about Pokemon. XD I like the idea of a more natural growth pattern. I also like how you've drawn their head shapes to look more lion-like
As for suggestions, I think Luxray's dex entry states that it hunts.. What kind of prey isn't mentioned, but I assumed it was some other type of Pokemon. X3 I don't know if that fits into your story, but I thought I'd give it a mention.
