So for my recent Watcher's Contest, I figured with all the craziness in the world going on, it would be cool to get a little participation prize for entering. So all of my non-winners and those who submitted multiple entries had a headshot drawn of an OC! The cast of characters, as you can see, is colorful and eclectic, and I had fun drawing each and every one. I really hope everyone enjoys their pieces, and thanks again so much for entering the contest. It was a blast!

Cel's Watchers Contest WINNERS!Good evening, everyone! That time has finally come to announce the winners of my Watchers Contest! I really appreciate everyone's patience on this, and the contest itself was a blast to hold. I had so many fantastic entries, it was legitimately hard to choose the winners and in which order. Like, you guys are fabulous artists, and it was so wonderful to see my characters in such an array of styles and techniques. Each piece had something great about it, and I adore them all. The little stories and snippets of dialogue were delightful inclusions as well. It really touches my heart to know some folks like this little AU I'm constructing. Now, onto the show! Remember, everyone who participated will receive a free headshot of their own OC from me, so I will be sending each participant a note. Also, third place actually ended up being a TIE! I spent a good chunk of time trying to decide between the two, and found that I can't, so you both will get the third place prize! As far as our winners are concerned, congratulations to: ~~FIRST PLACE~~'The Gang's Mostly Here' by WeirdAslzzieA beautiful portrait of most our main gang during Dawn's coronation as Princess - but with a twist! I know I've said I'm not really going to delve into the EQG-verse with these guys, but I like the idea of human designs for them - and WeirdAslzzie just knocks them all out of the park. There are so many great little details to pick out with each character, I encourage you to just take a look at the piece and enjoy them all! There are some great interactions in here, a great little bit of romance, and a great display of Weirdaslzzie's style. I really love this piece! ,~~SECOND PLACE~~'(CE) Flurryheart's new magic' by DragonPinkiePieA marvelous piece featuring princesses Flurry Heart and Dawn Star as they enjoy a magical afternoon in the Crystal Empire. The detail in this piece is outstanding, and the warm, soft color palette used is quite lovely. DragonPinkiePie's style is very intriguing and I love all the little design choices here and there, like their curved horns and fetlock feathering. This artist is very talented, and their prowess really shows in this piece. Excellent work! ,~~THIRD PLACE~~'Seasmoke (CE)' by HarmonyTREA lovely piece featuring a young Seasmoke, enjoying an afternoon of flower potting. I was really delighted to see Smoky make his way into the entries, as he's one of the side characters I'm most excited to expand upon. I really love the overall warm tones to this piece, and the lighting is excellent, especially in his crest feathers. His gentle expression and happiness working with his flowers just makes you feel warm inside yourself. A very sweet piece indeed! ,'(CE) Sparkling Star' by EvelynCatA wonderful portrait featuring a joyful, sparkling Dawn Star. The first time EvelynCat submitted this piece, I couldn't stop smiling. Look how happy this gal is! I love her joyful expression and lively pose, I adore the shower of sparkles surrounding her, and I just can't get over her pretty little hooves. The splash of color is a great touch, and overall just an enjoyable piece. ,Thanks again to everyone who participated. And everyone who couldn't, but have been along for the ride anyway, I encourage you to give these artists a watch.
