I love reading Sandman (by Neil Gaiman, published by DC Vertigo). I love the story, really. It just reminds me how fickle, fragile, and wonderful a human life is. Plus, the characters are so cool :3 Death is my favourite character next to Dream (and Delirium). A wonderfully woven story, with so many talented artist to convey each story. Beautiful. I love how Gaiman's Death isn't a skeleton in a cowl, but this funky Goth girl with a teddy bear and with what seems to be a liking for tea. (Have you read Death: Time of Your Life?). Sandman rocks - and so does this painting.

I haven't read it yet, but I'm planning to collect all of them *rubs hands together* but yeah, it's definitely original to have Death being cute and extremely lovable

I find that graphic novels are cheapest at Kino, but even so, $68 is quite a lot to pay for each volume. There's this guy who helps people sell their comics at the Amcorp flea market, and who *sometimes* has a pretty good selection (he had a whole pile of Vertigo titles sometime back), if you want to check out his stall.

It's right in front of Pos Malaysia, so you can't miss it. His collection largely consists of Marvel and DC titles, but he had a whole pile of Human Target comics (from Vertigo. Great series) the last time I went there. Ask him about Sandman - there are some comics that he doesn't bring down to the stall, unless a customer asks for it.
