I learnt this lesson 4 years ago as well... Makes sure you make three back ups of your final project that is due next week into multiple other computers, the portable hard disks and online... Or the world will hear your wails of sorrow.

how horrible, six years! I got my harddisk stolen last year, with EVERYTHING on it.. the lost photos hurt as much as the lost work...

I am currently laptop-less now. Sent it away for reformatting because of some system tools and system32 data went missing. Heheh...I always backup my data. Perhaps you should check back in your friendster/mypace/whatever in case if you have some of your old works glued in there. Maybe I have some in my external...or in Dad's PC.

Good for you! All my backup was is Jijoe's PC, but I transfered it all into my PC... Sort of a mistake. Dad's pc still has that Ribut 3D work, right? Please say it's still there... 8D

Well, it *was* a long time ago, and fortunately, I backed up my artwork every two months or so, so what I lost was stuff like tons of saved games - highly annoying and frustrating, but nothing that couldn't be achieved again. Thanks very much, though.

Neways, AIYA~!!! That's terrible BEYOND terrible. I'm also very afraid of that happening, and my Joe has a phobia of losing data that he made a point to have a backup hardrive with all the stuff he needs and made sure I have backups for my files before he attempts to reformat his or my computer!
And yeah, I'm not tech savvy either, so I always let my Joe to do the installing for me LOL
