[Fun fact: the world in this story only has females in it (how they reproduce is something I still don't know, magic love I guess), I've been meaning to say that I just didn't know when. I put it here because it's relevant to Idelis's backstory.]

Personality/Biography/Facts:

  Idelis is the mother of Delba and Selvina, a serene and kind person. She is not the kind of person to panic in a situation, she's almost always calm. But she hates irrational decisions and baseless accusations, she can lose her cool if somebody acts out of line. She may show a hint of meekness when around someone she likes, or with her boss. She usually regrets yelling at anybody, she doesn't want to be anyone's enemy. Idelis loves her family more than anything, her mother, Aisha, taught her everything she knows, she helped Idelis through school and her early life. Idelis has a little rivalry with her sister, Emelda. They compete in anything, sports, board games, or even running errands, eating, or getting attention. They do love each other though. Idelis loves her daughters, Delba and Selvina a lot, they mean the world to her. She tries to spend as much time as possible with them. Idelis relates to her niece, Nora, they're both athletes, that play soccer; She gives Nora advice and motivation with her soccer career. Idelis fell in love with a mysterious woman in high school. After getting to know each other for a while, they eventually conceived Delba and Selvina. After a few years she vanished, causing Idelis to raise her children alone. This person might have some correlation with Delba's strange powers.

  Idelis is a very smart woman, she studies hard, and she works hard to achieve her goals. She had very good grades in high school, and she earned a bachelor's degree to be a librarian. She's the smartest in her family, her mother recommend being a scientist or a teacher; something that can put her knowledge in good use. At first, Idelis was going to pursue a degree in sports because she played volleyball and soccer. But then she became interested in working at the library in her hometown. And also due to her gaining weight, she knew it would make playing sports difficult. Nowadays, Idelis works at the local library most of the day with a part-time job as a line cook on the side. She cooks and hangs out with the family when she gets home, and sometimes they play board games. She has loved board games since she was a child, Yahtzee and Clue are two of her favorites.

  Idelis loves to cook, it's one of her passions. She loves to cook whenever she has time, she enjoys cooking anything her children want. She taught Delba everything she knows about cooking, techniques and all. Though despite this, she isn't great at cooking everything. She's better at grilling, Sautéing, roasting, etc.; but she's not as good at baking or making pastries, so she doesn't do it often. Delba actually is the opposite, she's amazing with baking and pastry cooking, but she isn't too god at everything else. So they both help each other out with their weaknesses. Idelis does also have a part-time job as a line cook because of how she loves cooking. Idelis loves to sit back and watch some sitcoms or dramas on T.V after a day of work. Those two genres are the most entertaining to her, as long as they aren't too boring or uncreative. Selvina loves to relax with her mother, they'll both watch some T.V together for a while. Sometimes they'll both fall asleep on the couch with the T.V on, which is when Delba will put a blanket over them, or when Emelda takes a picture of them if they're drooling while sleeping.

How she got fat/more about food:

  Idelis was an active and slim person back in high school, she loved to play soccer and volleyball during gym class. But while her senior year went on, Idelis became a foodie. She ate a lot not for comfort, but just because she loved food, the way it tastes, the variety. After school, she and her friends would go eat somewhere in her hometown for a treat. Idelis loved to eat burritos and enchiladas from a local restaurant (Known as Gordita House), a burger and meal from a fast food place (Suntown Burgers), or waffles and eggs from a breakfast bar (Lyric's Early Bird Diner). She also learned how to cook from the cookbooks she bought. Cooking became a passion of hers, most of the time she'd cook for herself. She ate so much everyday that she slowly gained weight. Her mother and sister tried to get her on a diet, and she tried dieting because she was worried at a point, but the diets didn't last too long. She would go right back to eating what she loved. She continued gaining weight throughout college and after graduating. At that point she just accepted being bigger, she's okay with it now.
One of Idelis' favorite things on Earth are waffles. The fluffy texture, the crispy exterior, adding syrup and butter, it just makes her so happy anytime she has a bite. One time her family got her a big waffle maker for mother's day; she still claims that to be one of her favorite days ever. Burritos are her second favorite thing to eat, the many things that you can put in it, it tastes amazing to her, she most often will eat them for dinner or as a snack while on break at work. After a big meal, she loves to drink something sweet, like cranberry juice or strawberry lemonade. Moscato wine is her drink of choice to winddown after work, it's the only kind of alcohol that she really drinks because it's not too strong.
