Another 8 months of binging pass, and she gains a lot of weight in a relatively short time. She still isn't as physically active as she tries to be, which has been contributing to the weight. Her family has begun to really notice her weight and comment on it. At the moment, her mother, Idelis, is mildly concerned and wonders what's going on, her cousin, Nora teases her sometimes, and Emelda just says that her bigger butt should be something to be confident about. Aisha, her grandmother, has always been oblivious when it comes to people gaining weight (being the size she is). So she kind of sees Selvina's weight gain as a sign of letting loose and enjoying herself. Selvina used to not eat that much in a day, but being around her grandma has changed that.
