Description
(EDIT): BY THE WAY, GUYS. This was drawn AND submitted WAY before notch even MADE it so you could see drips before you mined into water or lava.Ok?
Don't make a comment about it - I already know.
-------------------
I actually absolutely adore everything about Minecraft but there are some things that irk me sometimes
Number 1.
Mining into water.
Not that it's hard to grab a spare block and plug up the leak and keep going once the water's receded but omfg!! You get washed away first and moving in water is slowwwww lol!

and thats not the worst, i decided... How cool would it be if i tunneled under the lava without even an ember touching me, and then, guess what, i saw right above me DIAMOND, so since i was pretty new to the game my brain just said chantingly get it!, get it!, get it! and then what happens next borders on stupidity, i try hitting n obtaining it by just whacking it with my trusty iron pickaxe and then it happened the LAVA SURROUNDED ME LIKE A GIANT CUP ALMOST IMMEDIATELY SO I JUST CLOSED MY EYES AND JUST LET IT HAPPEN, so when i respawn i just remembered i had 4 buckets, 67(total) redstone, 42 gold ore, 128(total) iron, 26 diamond, so i went downwith a new chant that went something like oh no!, oh no!, oh no! to find that i was right everything was destroyed except a bucket filled with the same vile liquid... damn you lava, just damn you. Then i decided to burn my forest pour lava where there used to be water and just tnt-ing my houses and restarting the world, now im a far-lands wanderer

I do that on purpose all the time.
I block it with galss and try to make underwater houses.
Since creepers cant blow up houses that are underwater.

well how about mining underground then breaking a block above you for space and getting squashed between sand! (is it squashed or squished? o.e)

1 thing is worser, mining vertically and falling into lava, nothing beats that
so yeah whenever i find something good i dont mine vertically

I'm currently digging out a quarry underneath a lake, yet somehow, I've managed to avoid this. Then again, I am digging downward...

And all the torches you set up get washed away, too.
I feel your pain.
I was mining for diamonds once, and I struck ocean.
