Description Lt. Penelope Grecian was in her room in the Lunar Colony when the strange vision came to her. It was a woman appearing in a halo of bright light. The woman was wearing an Egyptian dress and wore a crown shaped like a disc.

"Penelope, ancient one, I charge you with the work of the gods," said the woman.

"Gods? Gods of Egypt?" guessed Penelope, based on the appearance of the woman who had appeared.

"I am Hathor, daughter of Ra. My sisters have gone to Pluto and are working to fight a great evil. You must go and assist them," she commanded.

"Yuggoth! My daughter-in-darkness is there!" cried Penelope.

Penelope was aware that Margaret had set up a colony on Yuggoth, but she had received little news of her. Part of her had wanted to go and see her daughter, to express regret about her failings in the era of darkness and vampire rule, but she had felt the time had not been right. Penelope had come to believe thay what her daughter-in-darkness truly wanted was to be free, to determine her own plans and to be independent without being dominated by the whims of her ancient mother-in-darkness.

Yet now it seemed that her daughter-in-darkness was threatened by some evil.

"What evil, my lady?" asked Penelope.

"An evil goddess lies buried beneath the surface of Pluto. She has incredible power. She has taken possession of Margaret and is using her as a puppet. You must go immediately there and assist my sisters, Bastet and Sekhmet," instructed Hathor.

"I'll go now," said Penelope, grabbing for her boots.

There were many more questions that the ancient vampire might have put to the goddess, but she new she needed to go to Yuggoth. She would find the answers she needed when she got there.

First she just needed to steal a Lunar Defence Force shuttle. Maybe her time with the LDF was coming to an end.

In a cell deep in Carfax Abbey, Dominique howled with rage at her captors and kicked her bare feet against the transparent door. She had been imprisoned by the Lunar Colony for years, but she had never been able to get used to the indignity.

She was not currently wearing any restraints, but was dressed in a shapeless gown. How long had it been since she had worn the luxurious fashions she had once adored so much?

Her rage of anger was interrupted by a strange voice.

"Dominique, it is time to leave this place. You have things to do and places to go," called a female voice.

The voice spoke in French. At first, Dominique had thought it was Julia, the ancient vampire who had given her the dark gift and freed her from paralysis. Julia had given her immortality and superhuman strength, though her undeath had not restored her incredible powers of mental domination and telepathic control.

"Julia, have you come for me again?" asked Dominique, hoping that her freedom might be upon her.

"I am no vampire; I am a far greater being; I am one of the Great Old Ones," said the voice.

"What do you want of Dominique, Great One?" asked Dominique, realizing that she dealt with something that could easily destroy her.

"I know you want to be free, vampire. But do you not want more than this? What is it that you want the most?"

Dominique thought to herself. She wanted wealth, luxury, power over others. To be served. However, she knew this was not enough. She wanted revenge on the vampires who had robbed her of her mental powers. Penelope and Margaret. She wanted to destroy them.

"I crave revenge against my enemies!" cried Dominique.

"You shall have it. Penelope the vampire is going to Yuggoth. I want you to go there and kill her. I think you can do that, little vampire."

"What of Margaret her daughter-in-darkness?" asked Dominique.

"Margaret is already on Yuggoth. She is my slave and puppet. You may kill her when the time is ripe, but not yet," instructed the voice.

This did not please Dominique. She wanted to kill both vampires now, but she would settle with Penelope.

"Now I give you a gift," said the voice.

"I feel it! My mental powers are returning! I have my power again!" cried Dominique.

Though Dominique could not see it, her eyes had begun to glow bright green.7

"Go, little vampire and do my bidding!" commanded the voice.

Dominique stretched out with her telepathic ability. She could feel the mind of one of the warm guards. She pressed up him, forcing him to obey.

The guard opened the door of the cell and stepped aside, allowing Dominique to walk out.

Dominique pattered barefoot through the corridors of Carfax Abbey. Whenever a guard or staff member passed, they ignored her as though she were not there. It was so easy to control little people, with their little insignificant minds.

She briefly considered freeing the two Nephilim prisoners. They would have been a useful weapon against Penelope. However, she doubted she could control them. Taking those two would have been too risky.

She looked down at her inmate gown. She would need proper clothes and shoes. She considered taking the clothes of one of the female guards, but decided against it. She headed towards the inmate property storage. Many of the surviving lords and ladies of the vampire state had been incarcerated in Carfax Abbey. Dominique would have the pick of their flamboyant clothes. She was sure that the imprisoned vampires, sat in their cells would not have any objection to her borrowing them.

At the property storage room, she picked a low cut red tunic and tight fitting black trousers. She also pulled on a pair of spike heeled boots. She also helped herself to what must have been a fortune of jewelry, formerly the property of the vampire ladies of the American Vampire State.

Now she just needed a shuttle that could get her to Pluto.

To start, I am thrilled that this submission is posted, because it is your customary manner to submit fanfics etc. Second, you haven't submitted Lovecraft fan fiction for a long time.
Regarding style and so forth, I see that everything is in good order and the plot is well-developed like you usually do. Your dialogue is also good here. I noticed that you have started on the moon [i.e., Lunar Colony] and that was very clever. Some of our most famous writers, HG Wells, Jules Verne and such like, wrote like that. Following good footsteps. This was a treat to read and do let me see more like this. I can illustrate like before, if you want, too. Bravo!

I think Dominique has a pretty strong will to survive.

Plus we were a bit short on villains. This sort of felt a bit like the bit in It when Pennywise frees Henry Bowers from the mental hospital to go and kill the Losers.
