Description

So, I was browsing around Fanfiction.net, when I came across this synopsis

“ Driven mad by dragon sickness, Thorin banishes the company and locks himself inside Erebor. Days pass, and fearing for Thorin's safety, Bilbo descends into Erebor to find him. Instead, Bilbo discovers Thorin slowly becoming a dragon himself, and must do what he can to save him before Thorin succumbs to a curse that twists his body and mind. (Thorin/Bilbo, BoFA AU, novel-length)”

I was intrigued, and I started reading. The story was absolutely amazing: funny at times, and wonderfully moving, and best of all, the characters were in character! I recommend you read it right now!

The fic captured my imagination, so I did a series of fanart for the fic. My scanner is not the best, and I’m not the best artist, but I thought I’d share it with you all. Each picture displays a few of my favourite scenes from the story, and reads from top to bottom, left to right.

This picture is scenes from Chapters 1-8 of the fic.

The first picture is Thorin staring at his transformation in the silver bowl (though the bowl looks like a mirror). The second picture is Thorin pleading with a terrified Bilbo for help. The third image is THorin, huddles in his cloak, and being miserable, whilst the two hands are when Thorin almost agrees to go with Bilbo for help. THe fifth picture is when Thorin reveals the extent of his changes to Bilbo. The sixth picture is one of my favourite parts: Thorin breathes fire in front of Bilbo, who can only respond with “Well, that’s one way to start a fire,” causing Thorin to stare at him incredulously. The seventh picture is when Bilbo pull’s Thorin’s claws out of Thorin’s chest, and says “Careful with those” and the final picture is Bilbo refusing to let Thorin quit.

It took me forever to draw in all the stupid scales on Thorin’s body, and to figure out how to draw cracking skin!
