Decided to do a per gen fanart. This was supposed to be PokeSpe, but I find red's character design in the manga too hard to draw. Anyway, I hope you like this!Next will be the Johto trainers

red's pokespe design was based on a design mato had developed before she started work on the manga. she used to have some illustrations on her web site but they don't seem to be up any more.

The PokeSpe design of Red was hard to draw. I used to draw him that way, but I don't know what happened to my hands. Satoshi Tajiri's design is easier to draw, but the problem is that the intended LuckyShipping artwork would be BurningLeafShipping

I don't think it's so much that it needs to be much farther above his head, but that the brim would have to be lower set (not lying atop the head like a beret), maybe just over his eyebrows (when relaxed, noting that here they are arched). Caps are weird tho!!

His name is actually Green (Blue in America) in the game, and his anime counterpart is named Gary

Oh? I seem to remember... I think it was Fire Red or something... I can't remember, the default name was Gary... Buuut that could've been a ROM hack for all I can remember xD
