Spending time in the council, Nutella noticed how much difference some things make as you try to contribute. It was not long ago since the merle was announced an advisor. She had gotten in some disagreements with the old Duke, as he came off as rather oppressive and overly traditional. Yet, she swallowed her pride and learned much from the old farm dog.

To her surprise, this old senior did know his stuff, and eventually became fond of them. Over time, she had proven to be a charismatic young dog who did not plan on leaving anytime soon. Jolly and with input, this eventually helped them befriend the other. Many discussions and topics came up- including the ones what she would do if she happened to take over. This question often took her back as she never intended to take his place and responded mostly with a chuckle. The older hound also mentioned why he dived into the work in the first place… and it caused Nutella to lack the motivation to take it. But truth be told, she remained highly interested in the position.

After a few weeks of thinking, Nutella collected her guts and decided to take a leap. See where it goes. After all, Duke was retiring. There was an opening she planned to take. It was a long time that she spent with the grey hound. It felt about time to apply.
The thoughts swirled through her mind- filled with excitement. Nonetheless she kept a steady mind and asked to be a part of the main council.
She felt joy leading her, as she could not stop wagging her tail. Perhaps she was anxious? First joining the council- Nutella had never foreseen she would be where she was now. It was all so joyful but nerve crippling at the same time. Oh it would have been nice to see Blaize’s expression during this. She saw a little bit of him in Duke too… How ironic. But without either of these two, she would not have made it to where she was now.
Entering the small meeting, she saw Apple and Sunny- they had the answer for what she asked. Her expression was uneasy- not sure why. They would either vote yes or no. Thrilled with the tension, she walked with grace. Ready to accept either response.
