First of all I'm so sorry this took so long to finish. I was not expecting my fall semester of 2010 to be so busy, but it turned out that way. I hope you like her, and thanks for doing a trade with me.

Anyways, there's still alot of things I see in this that I'd like to add to or change, but I think I'll stop here. Maybe in awhile I'll go back and edit somethings. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it a PNG because the file size was like 900,000 bytes by the time I was done, and that's a little too large. Hopefully this size doesn't take too long to load, and if it does please tell me and I can change it.

Critiques are very appreciated. Please give me good ideas as to how to improve something. I tried more atmospheric perspective, but it seems I still have problems with it as well as reflections in water. Oh well, I did learn alot of things here.

Here is a critique for you!
First, the overall feel of the imaeg seems very nicely done, and i love the satin feel of the horses fur it is very soft and beautifully done.
I feel you need more time spent in the background, i would of played with depth of field and blurred the background out quite a bit, it would give it a nicer touch. I also feel the blue in the hair and the eye isnt done as the same standard of the main body of fur, and think this should be your focus. I like the grass and the little glittery dots.
I do notice the background is slightly blurry though so i dont know how void my comment is anyway e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Lick)"/>

Thank you for critiquing. I know I really wanted to spend more time in the background, but sometimes I can get sick of it. So maybe I'll take a break and fix it later.
I do have troubles with hair and making it realistic so thank you for pointing it out. The interesting thing is *Shekla 's character doesn't have pupils so it was a bit of a challenge to color it. Thank you for your insights again.

thats cool (: its probably the actual distance i am away from the horse meaning i cant really clarify the eye that well. Though hair is evil! and so is backgrounds its okay, i know the pain (:

Thank you so much. I've had those moments too when I saw an artwork, forgot about it, and then found it again. Yeah, I find that interesting as well, but I guess it comes with doing traditional my whole life and digital for a little over a year.

You're welcome Yeah, sometimes you see something, but you're trigger happy, so you click delete without meaning to and then you forget to go search for it and then it appears again so all is well. That's neat, though...it's hard to make digital work look traditional for most people, I think. I certainly can't figure that technique out!

Oh my.. It's so beautiful!
You've chosen wonderful pose for Aquaria, so majestic and graceful! At first, I thought it is a traditional painting :0 Again! Your style is very unique, I've never seen anything similar to your artwork on DA.
Aquaria looks so pretty! She is SO shiny and her mane mane flows beautifully *_* She looks exactly like she should, you managed to keep very close to her design.
And that background is just amazing So many trees, every single one is detailed and pretty! Where is Aquaria there must be water, so here it is! You know, I actually wanted to draw her by a mountain lake, you did it first Mountains add more nice atmosphere to the whole picture, it's is so calm and peaceful

Thank you so much. I had alot of fun drawing her because she has to be my favorite OC of yours. Alot of people have been saying it looks very traditional which I can see why because I've been taking traditional art classes my whole life, so my digital art is very influenced by that.

It took me while actually to find a good background reference photo, but when I saw it I knew it was the one. All those trees did take awhile because the original piece is very large and I was zooming in to almost 100%. You should totally draw her next to a mountain sometime. I love any type of landscape photos or drawings with mountains in them. I had alot of fun trading with you too, and thank you again.

Gorgeous work! Shadows and details are perfectly done and anatomy is stunning. Background is also very beautiful and fits very well. But, next time you could add little more highlights on hairs, because the body is so shining. Still, amazing work!

Thank so much. Well I have been doing traditional art all my life, so I'm sure it influences my digital art. The funny thing is I can't really ever decided if my artworks are digital paintings or drawings, so do you think I should change it to paintings? Recently I looked at *Aomori 's gallery again and her work inspired me when I was drawing the grass.

Thank you so much Norey. This piece is actually a little closer to what I can do traditionally if my heart is in it and I feel like details. You know sometimes when you feel like doing your best work and other times you don't care too much about it and are just going through the motions? Sometimes I'm like that. I'm actually in the process of submitting it to more groups right now, but they're just taking awhile to except it.
