Description “I’m not good enough to be forgiven.”
“Nobody loves me.”
“I’ve done too many bad things to be loved or forgiven.”

I KNOW some of you think or have thought this. You feel like no one loves you. You might go to sleep each night crying, you might sit alone at school- or perhaps you have so many friends at school, but you feel like they talk about you behind your back. You might argue with your parents all the time and think this. If you have felt this, please read this to the very end.

Or perhaps you feel like you’re not good enough to be forgiven by anyone, so you shield yourself from others. You have hurt people. You have done drugs, perhaps, to try to swallow down all these negative feelings.

For both cases, I’m sure that you feel like your life is empty. Or even if you aren’t experiencing this, I’m sure your life might feel like it’s missing something. You might have fun, but something just feels like it’s missing.

I’m going to go ahead and tell you something that many people these days just shrug off- money doesn’t buy happiness. This is more true than it’s given credit for.  Because no matter how much money you get, you will end up wanting more. Some woman may spend so much money for plastic surgery on her chest or something- she might think it will make her feel prettier- but after it she still realizes she feels the same about herself- she doesn’t feel like she’s pretty enough.

I believe that feeling like there’s an empty space is normal- it feels like there’s something missing in life. Okay, please don’t stop reading here when I say this- I believe it’s missing God. Everyone is created with a yearning we can’t quite comprehend- a yearning only satisfied when we accept Jesus Christ as our savior and Lord. Accepting God doesn’t mean that things will be “just peachy” for the rest of your life. There are trials, just as there is for everyone. Now, let me tell you the comfort you feel in receiving God. Please continue reading.

The amazing thing about God is that despite everything- despite the lies, murders, and the lust. Despite the jealousy, the stealing, and anything else, God still loves you and will forgive. Jesus didn’t die on the cross just for the “good people”. He didn’t die on the cross for the perfect people- NO ONE is good. We all sin. We have all done bad. He is willing to forgive it ll. Paul, who wrote several epistles in the Bible, was a murderer. He killed followers of Christ. He had done so much bad, and yet he became a Christian and God forgave him for everything.

1 John 1:9 states,
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cease us from all unrighteousness.”

But what of love? God loves everyone- he accepts all. He loved everyone so much that he sent Jesus to die on the cross.  His sinless son became sin; Jesus died on the cross, and God had to turn away from him because all of our sins were on Jesus as he died on the cross. When Jesus came back to life after three days, he conquered death. What does all of this mean? It means that if we ask Jesus into our hearts, he will cleanse them- he will erase EVERY SINGLE bad thing that we have done. All of this is possible because God loves us so much. He doesn’t just love the people who do only good all the time- if such were the case, no one would be going to heaven. God loves all of us and wants for us all to be with him.

You might be thinking, “How can you say that if he sends people to Hell?”
That IS NOT the truth.
Follow this link:  celo99.deviantart.com/journal/…

Perhaps you’re a Christian, though, who is beginning to doubt if you are one- you think that God has left you. That is not true. God stays with you through everything you do- through all the bad and good. He has seen us in our dirtiest moment and is still with us.
Let’s say you were a mother or father and looked outside to see your child, all covered in mud, playing around when he needed to come inside. You wouldn’t just shut the door in his face, correct? No, you would take him inside and clean him. God is the same way- we are like his children. He has seen us in our dirtiest moments and still helps us- cleans us.

Romans 8:37-39 states,
“But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor power, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is Jesus Christ our Lord.”

We, as humans, find it hard to comprehend this, since we don’t follow this rule. “Really? I’ve done so much bad- no one else would forgive me for such bad things if they knew.”
Well God does. Please ponder this and have an awesome day.

To be honest I'm not christian and I'm probably the only person here that believes in both creation and evolution. But that doesn't matter much.

BTW how do you interpret this line "God made us in his image"?

I believe that we, humans, look like God. Which is where the holy trinity comes in- Jesus is the son of God but is also God. What it means is that Jesus is the son, or man, and yet God. So basically Jesus is just the human form of God. I don't believe in evolution. i do, however, believe that the creation may have taken a bit more, but it is explained as taking 6 days since we can't ever fully comprehend time the way God does. I will never know the truth in tanything, however, until one day I go to live with God

I for one believe that a being with the power to create all this would't need legs or even a physical form. So I believe it refers to creativity and imagination. Our world is all this and humans reflect that same creativity in everything we do (even the weapons we make).
Jesus always said he was just a man, nothing more, nothing less and he told people that everything he did they can do to.

True it is said that god created the world in six days but they never stated by who's clock (for us this could very well have been billions of years as a god would not see time in the same way).
Every artwork takes time to make (like your picture up there) and so everything must evolve through many stages before it comes out as the finished product. No matter what way I look at it I see no way that creation or evolution can exist apart.

Also evolution is the only reason I can think of for the existence of the male gender. Why aren't we all just asexual.

I am not trying to put you down or off your beliefs. This is just what I believe and I don't like to follow just one religion or belief because I like to keep an open mind.

I believe that God doesn't need feet, of course, but perhaps he wants feet. There are things we will never understand until we die

Jesus never said that he was just a man in the Bible- he did teach that we should treat men equally, true, but he said on several occasions that he was the son of God and he never said that everyone can do what he can do

I don't believe evolution happened because God is the one who created everything- Ibelieve he just made man, y'know? I do believe there was a time period between things, but not that everything evolved

The reason we aren't is because God thought things through carefully and knew what we would need- he knew man would need a helper, so he made woman. Same goes for hte animals he created

the possibility of man evolving is one in in 102,000,000,000 with SEVERAL zeroes following that I just don't feel like counting out so many zeroes. That's just ONE man. Same goes for monkeys. For just ONE. If you went by statistics in evolution, that would have meant everything died off before becoming completely human, correct? the homo erectus would have only been about 2 beings faaaaaar apart and would have never even reproduced- not to mention they wouldn't have the same evolved forms, so they wouldn't have the same outcome

"The reason we aren't is because God thought things through carefully and knew what we would need- he knew man would need a helper, so he made woman. Same goes for hte animals he created"
I'm sorry to say this but that is my least favorite part of christianity and the main reason I'm not one. Look at most animals the female is dominant, all men start off female. Male ants, bees and wasps even come from an unfertilized egg and have half the chromosomes of the queen. All pointing to the fact that female is the main gender. There is even a species of lizard that has no males at all.

I believe that all religions have bits and pieces of a much larger puzzle just as I believe science can explane everything but our level of science isn't advanced enough to do so. Ideas change and evolve. Christianity theses days is probably very different from what it was like when it first started.

okay I did some research and I was wrong about the animal part, but right about the man statement. And here's what i don't get about evolution- if you believe in that, then you also have to admit to believe in the big bang. The belief that nothing made nothing explode and make something, andall that something merges together to make TONS of something. That doesn't agree with science itself in the law of conservation of mass.

Not to mention you would have to agree about another thing- the Earth gets apporxamitely a tenth of a millisecond slower each year. Now, go back to the triasic period- then we know what happened to the dinosaurs- they were spun off! If you go by evolution, you have to go by every theory, which means that verything is false

Sean1m In reply to CeloTheImpossible [2014-03-14 12:16:28 +0000 UTC]

Like I said, our form of science is young but in the end I believe it can explain everything. I think the theory right now states that universes can bud off of universes like hydra (the animal) do to reproduce. The Big Bang did not create the univers out of nothing, there was a small bubble filled with energy which was to great to be contained. That's where the big bang comes in.

Earth's spin does slow over time but thats just because we are due for a pole swap.
The Earth's spin will slow in very tiny amounts over time anyway as our core is cooling as does every other planets core (but this will probably take billions of years before the core stops entirely).

Evolution is real at least to some extent because you have seen that people can bread one dog breed with another creating a new breed. Evolution is like this on a smaller scale. For example female elephants will mate with the strongest male producing stronger offspring. These changes seem small but over time they build up like the pile of sand at the bottom of an hour glass.

Humans are believe to be related to apes (possible even able to be called an ape ourselves) because we are so close to them physically, biologically, genetically and in some ways even behaviorally (for example: look at your foot. All of the toes on your foot curve in one direction except for one which not only curves in the opposite direction but is also much bigger. This is because it used to be lower and opposable [like a toe on your foot]).

It may be scratchy but so is religion (if we were created buy a greater being we call god then who created god and for that matter the being that created that god creating being?). Some of science has been proven to be true in some ways or we would not be talking to each other right know. We know that everything around us is made of energy because we created anti-matter which had exactly the reaction we theorised (anti-matter reacts with matter and both are converted into energy).

As I said before. Our level of science is low. Everyone has pieces of a puzzle but no one has the full picture. And thus at this point in time no belief system is right or wrong (although I'm very sure women were never ment to be slaves to males and that that part was just put in there to justify doing it). And this is why I don't like to follow just one set belief as an open mind is important and its always been in our nature to ask questions.

No one created God- e has been around forever, since te beginning of time. You want to know why our science is "young"? Because there's too many things that can't e explained because they are from God, saying, "yo! I'm real!" A giant cluster of Quasars recently discovered is so large it defies scientific explanation. Scientists have discovered black holes weighing 40 billion suns.

And that number I wastalking about, to farther clarify- the estimated chance of man evolving to being one in 102,000,000,000.34 x 10^2billionth power

The moon gains an inch of dust each year. How is the dust not several miles deep now?

If you look at those facts, it proves it

And then there is the fact that things in the Bible have been proven- Egyptian chariot wheels somehow found in the Red Sea, from the approximate time of, guess who? Moses. And then there is this: www.essentialbibleblog.com/201…

And then there is also the well-being of countries primarily Christian and countries that aren't. It has actually been pulled into a HUGE study.

A man named Nathan Price did a study on this. He went to I believe East Africa and continued to study. He studied this for several years- countries with a Christian influence had a Better economy, a better government, better crime rate, and a whole bunch of other "betters" than countries that were right next to them with the same resources, language, and everything else here is an article on that:

Very interesting.

But like I said. I like to keep my mind open.
For instance what would you do under these two hypothetical events
If said religion that you were a part of turns out to be completely fauls and none of the evidence fits anymore.

The creator we see as "God" actually turns out to be an alien race. (Unlikely but when you think about it nothing is impossible).

Also as I have said before Christianity is to sexist for my liking. They are also against gay marriage of which I am a strong supporter.

CeloTheImpossible In reply to Sean1m [2014-03-14 14:42:06 +0000 UTC]

Hats the thing, though, isn't it? It can't be proven wrong because it is true. The Bible is a history book- every person in it after the time of Noah has been proven real, an even Noah and before then has some proof of existence.

Yes, Christianity does speak against gay things, but it also speaks against lying. Adultery. Murdering. Why does it speak against these? Because the Bible is written to help maintain order, but later on afte speaking against these things it states that you should love others despite this. That you should forgive them and treat your neighbor as yourself. That despite everything, God still loves an forgives you. Here's my question, then- if society had never had the Bible to rely on such things, what would it be like? Chaotic. People wouldn't look so closely at morality such as killing and lying and thievery- it would be every man for himself. The Bible, however, is around and because of that there is still some moral stability. Now if that isn't the power of God then tell me what is. Why don't you believe that there is a God? Is it because of bad things? Is it because you don't want to think of things a bad? Is it because you don want to turn away from the bad? Is it because you don't like the idea of looking at yourself as bad?

Sean1m In reply to CeloTheImpossible [2014-03-14 15:13:13 +0000 UTC]

I never said I don't believe in god. I just think of god more as a force than an entity.
I like to think of every living thing as our cousins. That everything is conected. A big planet wide family. I have always liked other animals over humans. We are detached from our natural environment. The rich beauty of our planet. All other organisms live their lives the way they were ment to but humans squabble over chunks of metal and pieces of plastic (or paper in some contries). Humans really need to wake up and see that we are not the most important things in the universe.

Everyone has the capacity to do bad things just as they have the capacity for good.

But to be blunt about it. The belief that humans are the most important thing is the single stupidest idea we ever came up with and its all to blind ourselves from facing our greatest fear. Inferiority.

CeloTheImpossible In reply to Sean1m [2014-03-14 15:26:06 +0000 UTC]

So you're a pagan, then? Okay. Though the Bible doesn't teach superiority, and agreed- we aren't te most important things. However, we aren't supposed to treat each other as nothing more than that because of it. An here is another question- what do you think we would be like if we lived like animals, the way you basically just said we should live? Human nails against wolf teeth. Human stomachs against the starving wolf stomach. Human skin against the nature's cold days an hot days. Lets face it- we aren't the best. But we need houses. We need these things because we aren't animals.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sean1m In reply to CeloTheImpossible [2014-03-15 11:59:33 +0000 UTC]

We need them because we adapted to them just as any animal adapts to a new environment. If we never built houses we'd be living much like gorillas. Moving from one place to another looking for fruits and insects to eat.

The simple fact the more we adapt our environment to suit us the more hopeless we will become.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CeloTheImpossible In reply to Sean1m [2014-03-15 12:11:35 +0000 UTC]

Or perhaps we need them because we can't adapt- we don't hav fur or whatever. We have brains for a reason. We use more of our brains than animals for a reason. You don't realize that we hav houses because we actually THINK. we have factories because unlike animals we THINK

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sean1m In reply to CeloTheImpossible [2014-03-15 12:54:11 +0000 UTC]

Actually there are other animals that have been shown to have the ability to think freely. Maybe not as well as us but some whales like dolphins are sentient and some like the orca form cultures. Gorillas and chimpanzees have the capacity to build more permanent structures to live in but don't because doing so would put them at risk from predators or from running out of resources. Someday they might find a way around that as we did though. Keas (a New Zealand parrot) can solve puzzles in no time flat as long as there is food involved. They are also good at finding loopholes that we might have missed in the puzzle to get to the food faster.
They also play pranks unlike most other animals. A monkey will take something off you because they find it interesting but if a kea sees something that you seem to be fond of (like your car keys) they might grab them and get your attention. After that they will make sure you whatching them before they drop them down a hole or off a cliff.

Yes, some animals do have a high intelligence compared to others. But that's not the point. We have minds so we are supposed to use them to our advantage. Not run around the forest like "hurr durr! Nature! Tree! Imma hobo!" But build houses an live how we are because we actually have the intelligence to do so

Unfortunatly the society that came with it doesn't just let rogues run loose, it gives them a way to gain power which saddly they do. If we lived in the wild we would be living in sall family groups like other social animals so the rogues can be found and kicked out. Even elephants do it. All this may seem harsh but if a individual with sociopathic tendencies got into power in the wild the family group will have all sorts of problems. We let these rogues stay and they get a seat on top and they are one of the main reasons why we are the twisted, chaotic race we are today. We might not be using our brain to the fullest if we were but at least we'd be saner.

Also termites act pretty much entirely on instinct and their structures dwarf ours by a long shot in comparison.
