Looks great! A friend and I are making Elven Ranger costumes for an upcoming con; good to see we aren't the only ones out there doing it!
One tip: I like to use ear cuffs to help hide that seam between the ear tip and my own ear; you can get some really nice ones really super cheap online. No matter how one tries, one can never seem to get the latex ears to perfectly match one's skin, and the cuffs make a big difference.
Where did you get your vanbraces and sword holder? Did you make them? I am jealous! They're lovely!

Hello,
Thank you so very much for your kind words. Iβm truly pleased to hear that you enjoyed my Elf cosplay. As far as the ears go, I have to admit, I have a rather odd notion about ear jewelry on pointy ears, lol. When I first saw the LOTR trilogy, I noticed that none of the female Elves (and of course, the males) wore any type of ear jewelry. And then in one commentary, the make-up people mentioned becoming annoyed with Viggo Mortenson for always touching Arwenβs ears on screen and inevitably ruining them. I think Mortenson replied that he thought Arwenβs pointy ears were special, as they defined her as an Elf and so-on and so-forth. As a young, and impressionable teenager, I came away believing that Elves might think of their ears as special and might not be into piercings or other decorations. So now, every time I cosplay a LOTR Elf, I never wear ear jewelry, although now I will flip some of my hair over my ears to hide the seams.
Thank you so much for the tip, though! Yesterday at a Renaissance Faire I played a non-LOTR Elf and was looking for some jewelry to cover the seams. J
And good luck with your Elf ranger cosplay! I really hope to see it when itβs complete.Β Thank you again for the lovely comments! It was wonderful hearing from you.
Β Best,

PS I actually commissioned the vambraces, sword holder and belt from a very talented man named Paolo. Here is his DA account. adhras.deviantart.com/

Great costume, I love that green top, I totally want one . The only thing you could do to make this better is to smile and possibly pose, it's seems scary at first but posing can really help capture the characters personality and make a photo perfect

Thank you so very much! As for smiling, I usually do, but I tend to have a goofy smile, so I thought I'd try to appear a bit more serious for these pics. And I did pose for some of the pics, this one was more or less to show off the costume itself.
