I mean, I presume this is either a truce or takes place "backstage," so I'm not wondering why the ones who should be trying to kill each other aren't.
Although Minette is probably working on the food, I like to think that Brain Drain isn't present (despite Val, Robo, and Painwheel all being there) because nobody likes him.

That is true. But the amount of characters i think is more based on preference, not necessarily whether it needs "improvement". ^^

Well simply because the number of characters is not going to change the technique that was used, the shading, coloring, things like that. You can have as many characters in a piece that you want whether thats more or less, but its not going to change the quality of it. Plus maybe the artist didn't want all the characters, maybe they wanted just the ones they like, or maybe it was that they wanted just the playable ones. So just because it may not have something or someone in it that you prefer, that doesn't mean it necessarily needs improvement. Does that make sense? heheΒ
