WORD! its like 99% done i gotta tweak some shit ... add a couple highlights and definitly stick a symbol on that banner in the BG ...i'll post up the changes as i make um ... but its done ... and i didn't even get to turn it in today .. fucking MTA!!!! bastards

holly old school blizzard art batman... are you using the original pencils from warcraft 2? if so you should cite that cus people are dumb and probably dont know their warcraft history

hah actually it was art from warcraft 1 that was my primary inspriation. Im sure you know what picture im talking about.
THO! if u notice, the characters are not exactly the same, so just in case my piece gets chosen for the art show later this year i wouldnt' get shit for painting licenced characters or whatever

welp ive never used a tutorial but i can tell you my process
Lay down ur flat colors first ... allways
I started strickly using the selection tool and gradients, with various opacity. I would take the base color and a shadow color (in the gradient) ... make a few selections, starting braod and gradually getting more specific. Which gives you a good cell shaded look. THen i would do the same accept with a highlight color.
This time round i started painting like i would with acrylics.
I would use like a 30% opacity blending brush ... and just go to town. Id would lay down generaly where i want highlhights and lowlight, and constaly use the alt. hotkey (eye dropper) and grab various colors from around my painting as i needed them.
Painting is photoshop i found is REALLY simular to doing the real thing. I had this misconception about the program that it was this wied process to get what your looking for. Its really all about the hotkeys, and trial and error and messing around with various settings. HAh that like the best advice i can give u ... Im sure there are some kick ass tuts. on dev art. Im sure you'll find one that will work. If u have any speific questions send me a note
