I like the simplicity of this piece. It isn't cluttered up and draws ones attention to the character, which is quite expressive.

I find too many do that, even with the written word..they seem to be in such to meet an invisible quoata, that they lack a true understanding of what's actually there..

There is a lot of emotion in this piece though the image itself looks simple at first. For some reason, when I get a piece of charcoal in my hand I can really express my emotion at that very point in time. This piece was created when there was a lot of confusion in my life...and that is what really inspired what was eventually put on paper.

Oooh, thank you for the explanation. Sometimes the simpler pieces have more meaning, I just loved the way the charcol looked, and the feeling it portrayed.
