Description

Ever since Panda got his PO box I’ve been intending to draw a poster to send to him. The fact I found inspiration for it around the same time as the art contest was lucky, since all my attempts to make a big group picture fell through, but I wanted to submit something.

This thing is actually gigantic in size, I drew it to print at 11x17 and also A3 size for the contest (which is roughly the same dimensions). Working that big has been a challenge, mostly for my laptop who, at the end when I had 200+ layers, took five minutes to open the image and refused to let me scroll and zoom without freaking out. Giving the skull texture using this shading style was also a massive, three day long headache, but I'm relatively ok with how it ended up. And let's just not talk about the leaves and lava. Let's just say it was a complicated piece and leave it at that.
