The creature saw the little girl standing there defiantly unafraid, as she even stuck her tongue out at him, teasingly. He couldn't understand why she didn't run like the others, nor could he understand why he didn't want to hurt her. He was so confused.

Cindy, on the other hand, did her best to hide her tears. She wasn't certain if the monster would tear her apart or not. She wasn't certain if he'd even recognize her. All she knew was that she wanted her little brother back...
