I think two things happened here..
First was Karma, he should had know that though he may appear to be free from the cat girl curse when really Science finds a way

It is a variation on status quo is god : Any character that gets genderbent for more than one episode tends to stay genderbent later. Any character that gets a genderbent alternate form tends to keep that genderbent alternate form, and to renturn to it randomly. Those are not the exact words, but that's the spirit anyway.
