Man, been ages since we saw them as human. Remember when they first changed, had been upset about that, then got over it. Same when they went taur for the first time!
Should be interesting to see what the updated art of them looks like then.

I seem to remember them as human too when they first appeared. I tried to find the comic in the cervelet archive at the katbox but when I saw the hundreds of pages of addictive science comics I thought my brain would melt trying to find it in all that.

Agreed, I remember the same. From when they first showed up wanting to be rivals and then randomly turned into Vixens. Rest rolled from there with them!

Found them. They were the Mysterious Teleporting Wardrobe that somehow tended to suck people in and spit them out at a new location, too disoriented to tell they'd been zapped by the foxes hiding inside. The first you saw them was after Lukas opened the door, got zapped to no effect and zapped them into easily portable size foxes. In the next comic they return and Catherine reveals they haven't been foxes for long, followed by them explaining they were mad science students who did the mad science<->magic university exchange program and decided to foxify everybody 'because foxes are awesome'.
