At least he was bold enough not:

to let " 'I dare not' wait upon 'I would'
Like the poor cat I' the adage..." Β 7@=Q

Curiosity killed the cat

I actually hate that saying for two reasons. One, it's not what the original saying was about: it was care killed the cat, care as in worry (because surprise, English changed over the centuries)- worrying to much is what killed it. Second, it discourages curiosity, which is a fundamental human trait necessary for progress- curiosity is what makes us try out new meals, read new books, discover things. Curiosity made us invent computers. It made us reach the moon. Yes, it's also what makes dudes put weird things in their butts and give the medics something to tell their friends, and what made us create awful weapons- but in the end, the progress, be it on a macro scale (a country) or micro (the individual) did make us what we are and made us advance further than thought possible. Curiosity, combined with a minimum of brains, is the greatest motor of humanity.

Spread the word.

Also, "Curiosity, combined with a minimum of brains, is the greatest motor of humanity," is an awesome quote.Β  I might just have to steal it.

I'm with you there.Β  I have never seen a cat curious enough to actually endanger itself (they are notoriously skittish, after all).Β  In fact, most tend not to like new things.Β  Our cat still hasn't forgiven the dog we got nearly a year ago for daring to exist.

Plus, everyone who uses that idiom just to make it sound like they have relevant input on the conversation ends up sounding like they're making a threat, and it just escalates from there.Β  Curiosity, after all, is only discouraged by those with something to hide...

This just seems random enough that I've gotta ask, was there something in particular that inspired this one?

Does anyone have a link to the comic where he first showed he could do that? I've seen it before, but it's hard to track down specific pages...

Edit: Nevermind! Found it!Β

Better late than never! Speaking of which, whatever happened to the iMew comic page? Like... I looked at the actually page link for it (the non DA one) and it's just blank. Did they end up stopping that?

they haven't uploaded it back yet. I think Nekonny wanted to change a few things around, too

That is amazing! Thank you so much! Β Heck, this might be worth posting a journal about if you haven't already. Either way, thanks a bunch for this. I love you guys' work, so any way to more easily find it is a good thing.

Speaking of pages where things get introduced, I can't find the one where Moritz reveals his name. There's gotta be some way to more easily find stuff that happened in the comic.

I'm pretty good at organization (to a fault), so not being able to find something bugs me more than it seems to do for other people. My file organization on my computer involves folders within folders within folders within folders and so on and so forth. I've actually almost maxed out the maximum I can nest folders on my flash drive, yet still have plenty of room for more files. Yeah...I have a problem.

However, my room is full of clutter and mess...guess I'm not organized in some ways. Oops...

you're right though, we still haven't gotten around making a proper archive page yet. That's something to be corrected.

When you are tinkering with the site, you might want to think about the version of the strip the reader sees outside the archive. It's nice that a roughly 3000*2000 px 1MB version is there but for default (!) viewing it might be a bit overkill, especially if it is rendered unscaled (one pixel per pixel) on a regular monitor where you have to either scroll or zoom out a lot as they are rarely more than 1200 pixels high.
