Thanks! I also loved it. Some New Mutants were even just as bad as the Hellions, in that they thought of themselves as "heroes", when some Hellions were not even doing bad things.

Yeah, Keith is a friend, probably you saw this on his site.

Back then I tended to draw people even thinner than I do today, dunno why...

And about li'l Dougie... Remember that when Weezie started writing he was slightly changed to the ultra-shy, not-much-knowing-what-to-do-when-it-comes-to-sex who's portrayed here. Even though he was confident when he hanged out with Kitty, I guess that her not reciprocating his feelings (at least explicitly), and then being in a situation he didn't know how to manage when he fell in love with Betsy, and after that, being manipulated by Jenny into an almost sex thing that gave him a false self-confidence boost would fill him with a lot of self-doubts that reverted him to a more child-like state.

About Jenny... I don't think she's truly evil. More like she'd pretend to be that way so others perceive her as strong. She's just a confused girl who does evil things because she doesn't know what else to do.

D'uh, sure, but still you've gotta admit, that he looks much younger. It's not just the matter of attitude, but also of the face proportions.

I didn't say SHE's evil, I said only that her expression is evil but not evil evil, just evil, if you know what I mean It's not that I didn't like it.

Heh heh. I like Doug with a baby face.

Blevins did draw him with rough features, but others (Romita, Guice, Sienkiewicz, Wilshire) portrayed him with a somewhat cuter face. That's when I like him best.

I submitted all the pics I've drawn that focus on Dougie. I think he does look a little different in some of them. a few others include him as part of the background (like this one, or the Rahne combing her hair pic), but I don't know if I've submitted all of them...
