Description
Illustration from Generation X.

Kurt Pastorius (Refrax) is a member of the mutant team known as Generation X. His teammates Jubilee (Jubilation Lee), M (Monet St. Croix) and Buff (Arlee Hicks) do not like when he uses their training place to rest.

I grew up with Generation X. I was 14 when the first issue came out (and when most of the kids first appeared during the Phalanx Covenant). I have most of their comic books, just missing the ashcan, the first of the Gen 13 crossovers and the issue with Toad (during Onslaught). But it was only recently (last year, I think) when I saw the old Generation X movie. It was somewhat good for the budget they must have had (or did not have). Even if people think it was bad, it still could have been a good series, getting better over time.

But it was not to be. That was all we got of TV Gen X. The comic book kids went on with their lives in print, but TV exclusives as Buff and Refrax were taken away from us, never to be seen again. This picture is a tribute to Refrax, the Generation X hero who left us before his time...

I have drawn a lot of Western heroes. Now it is Japan's turn.

My boyfriend likes muscular, hairy, dark-skinned hunks. I prefer lean, smooth, pale twinks (Iceman, Human Torch, Iron Fist, Spider-Man, Mass Master, Cypher).

Unless we're talking about Thor, Black Panther, Captain America, Luke Cage, Gambit. I can make room for those.

Thor, Black Patnehr, Captain America and Luke. DEF!! Yes, more them

Even though the Generation X TV movie stunk, I liked the characters Buff and Refrax. Marvel should've incorporated them into the comics. If they could do it for Firestar, H.E.R.B.I.E., X-23, Phil Coulson and his Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., why not them?

I think the same. They may even be used outside of any Generation X comics (especially since there are none of those currently). Too bad for these characters.

Yeah. They could've at least had cameos in the X-Men movies! Doesn't have to be big!

I like this! Finally, makes a speedo look great on a slimmer guy.

I does not matter if you are slim (well, it does, I like slim guys). What is important is that you fill the speedo properly in the places that matter.

I suppose.  That's my problem, in my area people have this bias to slim people and speedos and I would fill one out a bit well in the front despite my young boy appearance haha.  Oh well, I am endowed.

Such a statement needs to be backed up with proof!!!

And it is nice if they are filled out in the back, as well.

Well I am small in the back (to me) I really do plan to get into swimming when I can and fo now I am just holiday prepping.  I've proof somewhat but not online haha.

Online is the only one I could have access to. You know, the distance and plane tickets being so expensive, hahahahaha.

It was a good pilot... Pity it ended so soon, like the Power Pack pilot.

Pretty good job on drawing him.

In a time when more faithful adaptations were simply not doable (because of money because executives might still have thought they would not work), those were good compromises, and would surely have brought in more characters and better stories in later episodes.

Remember how Smallville was about a Clark Kent who was not Superboy, could not fly and would not wear the costume? How long did it take they to insert all of his friends and enemies into the series, no matter how powerful and no matter that they should be Superman enemies? Also, he ended up flying, too, I think.

That was just to say comic book series on TV were finding their way into really being about the comic book heroes. The Hulk series, although liked by fans (of the TV series, at least, I do not know what comic fans thought of it), was more about "David" Banner, and not that much about the Hulk and his enemies (who never appeared in the series, as I understand).

Thanks. I could not find any references of actor Randall Slavin shirtless, so I had to imagine what he looked like.
