Since i meet the art of ARVALIS (a guy here in DA [link] ) i really want to study what he does, and want to do someday something like that.Of course this have not the same quality of the artist but is a good try
And the character is the main god of the ancient Aztecs, the feathered snake (quetzalcoatl)

Wow. The textures of the feathers and the snake's scales really is fabulous. He looks fearsome. I always thought Quetzacoatle was a little kinder, though, but maybe this is after he got chased out of his kingdom? He looks pretty pissed.

Actually this is the methaphoric form of the god, in the real myth he was a man, the perfect balance between earth and sky, the flying bird and the creeping snake, the feathered snake Yeah! haha

I thought he started out as a feathered serpent, then later came down to earth as a man... I don't know, my Aztec mythology is a little rusty. It's been a while, lol
