Description
Well, I recently got the hang of how to draw hands... this is my little paper on different hand poses... I mostly looked at my own hand or I took poses and remade them in my drawing style.Enjoy!

ETA:
This is a very old deviation of mine, but it has gotten very popular and I would like to thank everybody who's faved it and showed their appreciation by commenting and adding it to different collections. Even if it's a somewhat old style, I'm really happy it's been of some help to you all.
Thank you. It makes me happy.
ETA2: Moved this devation out in my main gallery again~ >>

Ah! Thank you! This is very helpful...
Now all I've gotta do is be able to actually do it.
(Why are hands so hard?!)
*Trys to memorise these but fails.*

I surely can't draw hands as awesome as you can, but still let me give you a tip: Don't make the finger tips so sharp. They aren't needles, you know? XD

Thank you.
And, I think it's up to the artist what style to use when drawing, don't you think? I know it's pointed, because I was way into a manga called Dragon Knights at the time where the hands looked like that, and I get really affected by the artstyle in manga I read. I haven't said you need to draw hands like this if you don't want to, neither that it is a general way hands look. ^^
|D Besides, this particular piece of art is several years old, (4 years, to be exact) if you read the artist description.

These are really good but everytime I try and draw one It never looks right.Like I tried 1. and it looked like I was pointing Left.
Do you have an advise?

Cesia In reply to Sokayzu [2009-03-22 10:54:09 +0000 UTC]
Well... do you see the pencil lines beneath the lineart? Try sketching it out like that at first, with using the balls and ovals to form your hand. I'm not so good at giving advice on this but... uhm. :/

I love the way these hands are drawn, they're so dainty, all of the hands I draw are either chunky and gorilla-like, or just complete failures!!
Would you mind if I refrenced from here, and posted practice drawings of my own with these poses?
