*I apologize for the large amount of watermarks on this photo. Due to a large influx of photo theft by facebook and instagram users, I've been left with no choice but to add more watermarks to my photos in order to protect them. Thanks for understanding*

Indeed, I've often thought Makaio and Malia look SO alike, I muddle them up sometimes. It's amazing

Even to a trained eye if you only catch a glimpse of them they can be confused! In UV areas or when they're not constantly in motion it's easier x)

What a gorgeous shot with them almost perfectly aligned! The fact Malia is seen more from the side and curled makes the photo not look too unreal, yet the viewer-facing flukes binds them together at the same time While I love the blues in this photo, I'm not really sure if I like that new look of the pool's bottom...

Thanks! I highly dislike the new floor. It makes it look almost like an insane asylum padded room, and it sometimes messes up the focus.

Haha, okay, then I'll go full out too: I don't like it either. Makes their fairly unnatural environment even more so. Probably now way they could place rocks or anything on that >.>

They wouldn't be able to put "rocks" or anything too heavy or that blocks the floor from rising, but I think they could have kelp plugs in the floor to at least give them something to play with.

"floor from rising" why would they need the floor to rise? @_@

It's a false bottom pool, which means if anything happened like, someone fell in the pool on accident, and one of the whales decides to check them out, they can make the floor come to the surface in 90 seconds.

That would be nice, though somehow I'm doubting if they'll do that... Or have you heard official plans on it?

I haven't heard anything of it, but I really doubt they will do it. I know that they have used kelp as EED's before, but I've never personally seen it. Crossing my fingers something happens.

Fantastic image, I love these two and Yes it's scary how alike Malia and Mak look without a closeup their right eyepatches are almost symmetrical! All the juveniles seem to love the bubbles from the tank floor, I have a few images like this Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, I try to focus on the whales, but sometimes the camera focuses on the floor instead...
