the lighting is amazing, the use of the dolls upper left, the way they frame the girl, and the row of other dolls in the dark, really gives the photo a nice framework to highlight the girl. it's creepy and sad, but also beautiful in a melancholy way. the tones are subdued, which give it an antique feel, but it still has a sense of the contemporary. i'd love to talk to you about this for a possible book cover, i'll drop you a note if my publisher likes it. great work, very powerful, i can't stop looking at it.
