Sorry it's my first time doing an object comic but Coat Hanger essentially explains the reason why Candy Valley is science.
He says
"Well the valley is widely inhabited by different species of candy based animals. Plus scientists are studying the possibility that many modern day candy based objects evolved from the creatures here"
