That's awesome. But which Pohatu did you use, out of curiosity?

If I had the parts (and the time), I personally would have attempted the DOOM (2016) style. Great work, nonetheless!

That's rad. I think I prefer yours over Sparky's. Yours isn't as blocky and weird. I've never played doom, but I did watch my dad play it when I was a kid. I showed him this and he got a real kick out of it. Keep up the awesome work dude.

Eyy, thanks! Don't get me wrong, but I couldn't really compare my cyberdemon with the one Sparks made, simply because they're made in two styles and colors, which makes the choice of existing parts completely different. Not to mention that he went for a pure "gen1" look, whilst I mashed together different representations of it to try and get the "cyberdemon" feel, so it all comes down to personal preference I guess.
Glad to hear your dad liked it btw

Yeah but it's interesting to be able to see two takes on the same subject at the same time. And if we are comparing them I think yours have been consistently better. His was weird looking and blocky and I just didn't like it. Honestly I think as a MOCer sparky has gotten a little overrated but that's just my opinion. You can't really give him the Gen1 argument either cause he slapped a bunch of CCBS on there to. They key factor that sets the two apart is the head though. Your is much more well constructed. His looks like a cube with teeth and horns. Yours has a sleeker design all around though. I found it to be much more effective.
And as far as the doom guys go they're very close but I see a few more interesting parts being used more creatively on yours than his. That shotgun looks super fragile and I've never liked builds like that. Makes me wonder how well the rest of the MOC stays together. I like how you got the Kakama in there on the midsection and the Minifig skater helmet for jockage is a nice touch to. You're absolutely right it comes down to personal preference and that's why I've never subscribed to this idea of a right or wrong way to MOC like some of those guys on BZP insist on. I like clever parts usage and creative concepts so a MOC like your Doom guy speaks more to me. It really just comes down to what you value as a MOCer and an individual, and that's why I've been liking your side of this collab more.
You definitely gave my dad a case of Nostalgia. He was talking about how he should dig out his Sega and play the original Doom again. I remember lots of times going to his part of the house(he's in a converted garage) and yep, he's playing doom again. And so some of these monsters are familiar to me to, but only vaguely. Are the later Doom games any good? I've never played any of them.
