I uploaded this earlier but when I went to view it I got an error
uploading again.. (man I have bad luck with this stuff lol)Well this is my first ever Photoshop CG. I am so sick of this pic I will probably puke if I ever look at it again
It started off in oC where I sketched it and did the line work, started coloring etc... then I decided the lines were too sloppy etc so I redid them.. didn't like the original hair so I erased it and started again.. etc. etc. etc. Anyway, eventually I ended up taking the original sketch +colored skin into photoshop and redoing the lines and coloring everything else in there.. it was a pain in the arse and I'm still not happy with how the st00pid chair turned out

Sorry about the chair and cruddy background but I was so sick of it I just slapped it in there. I will eventually fix the BG and re-color the chair. I do see some sloppiness I want to clean up but it probably won't happen for a while because frankly, I never want to see this pic again lol This was the first time I ever used photoshop to do something like this. I mean, I've used it for web graphics and that but coloring anime in ps is a whole different can of worms lol.. for my first photoshop cg I'm semi-happy with it. I think I'll be using photoshop form now on.. forget about oC (atleast for the time being) hehe

very nice, I love what you did with the dress, I use that trick too, I love finding fabrics and things to add to my drawings, I love how much texture it brings to the drawing, and your shading with the dress is also very excellent, one thing, her feet look at bit too flat, there is no depth to the toes, but other then that, great work, the hair and face are both perfect.

First off, I am an anime fan, and secondlly i almost NEVER want to look at DA manga artist, in my opinion they need to unlearn reproducing the style, learn why the artist draw in that way, and begin work on their own obviously unique art. secondly not a big fan of shoujo manga. LASTLY, she is really friggin cute =-), in fact looking at the face then looking down at the dress and the girl's form do different things, the peice feels disconnected, it's a style issue it has no cohesive feel, there is no single message. This so has to be a male thing, but i have no idea how you want the audience to feel about her, is she cute and innocent, or are we to want and wait for her to slink out of more than her shoes? You offer no context for the viewer to make that decision, I suggest trying two new versions of this picture one where she is totally engrossed in mundane work, make it schoolwork with some light leg/skirt play, and then make another one really playing up the sensuality and provide all three in the same setting. This peice is technically strong, I can't really feel any major flaws in technique good job.

She looks really cute. Her hair and eyes are very beautiful, and the detail in her dress is stunning. Her calves look like they may be a little too short, but that minor detail hardly takes away from the beauty of this picture.

lollll.. I agree, it's nice to have different progs. One I would like to learn and have is Corel Painter. it has a lot of brushes to realistically simulate real mediums.

Wow, this is really very nice; I love the patterns in the dress...did you draw those in yourself!? My favourite part is definitely the dress; it's very soft and it has much depth. My least favourite part is...the background, I think maybe you could've put some more detail into it, but I understand where you're coming from~

holy fuck that's awesome! that dress is the shit! and the hair isn'tas bad as you think it is. and although the chair is kinda simple, it's not really the centerpiece, so it's not very noticable. +fav for sure.
