Note sure whether to call this a speedpaint or not. xDPainted in 2.5 hours give or take, spread out over a few days.
Yeah, totally waiting for Guild Wars 2 to happen.
Going for Charr for sure and likely engineer, but maybe thief.

Love the gritty quality presented here. The really muted color palatte falling almost into complete graysale really helps the more vibrant parts like the blood and irises stand out. Gotta say I like the composition as well. The way he's posed, plus his expression, and just the general open space around him feel liks it's creating a tension that could break at any moment. *reads too deeply* xD Nice work

Haha yeah reading to deeply! But the focus is indeed intended, the way it lacks detail but the closer you get to the face the more rendered it becomes. Strong contrasting colours (like the bright green eyes and red blood) help draw the attention in even further (not to mention faces are usually the main focus of a painting)

Yep, waiting to play a Charr warrior myself. Really shouldn't during University semester buuut....

Didn't really look at my references a lot. people relate them to dogs, wolves, cats, even minotaur. So I find myself hard to brand them;Charr's are very unique in the fantasy genre.
