Cromwells men are still very controversial figures particularly in Ireland but this is a magnificant rendering. Amazing detail.

ooh it's got so much cool texture I wouldn't have guessed it was digital right away--it reminds me of old engraving/woodcuts or pen and ink drawings (especially towards the bottom, like you were using ink washes). You still manage to get a great sense of lighting... I'm impressed how detailed you got it with such a simplified approach.
