Description Now this comes with a story! Well...not really, but its creation is rather interesting to me

First, the commands executed in silversonic's console are related to BASIC, one of my first and favorite Comp languages.

Second, SilverSonic doesnt have a health bar, instead, he has a DAMAGE counter. I didnt think one had a certain amount of life taken before death, instead, he can endure however much damage depending on the situation and priority. Damage taken over 100 might or might not require immediate repairs. Crap...I dunno what I'm talking about. damage counter, BAM, its good

Third, the wavelength of Sonic's heartbeat is ACTUALLY the sound of a heartbeat. I recorded the noise with my voice, and wanted to do a highpass on it, but it still looked the same and I didnt want to change any controls. Also, notice that its not in one of those medical heartbeat graph things. Silversonic has no way of knowing exactly how Sonic's heart beats, he only has super hearing.

The last wavelength is Sonic's voice. Can you guess what it is?

Nah, thats not possible, because its volume: "Uh, oh!"


Btw: I used Goldwave, a really good Sound editing program that I used for my Sonic Duke3D mod waybackwhen. If you're an FX guy, this is definetely worth it. [link]

Fantastic. Nice idea, and very well conveyed. A good choice of ideas put on the HUD - I've seen lots of huds in films and things before, but this comes across as very well thought out, and the idea behind the hearbeat and sound monitors are very original. Essentially a well thought-out idea that's been fantastically conveyed Definitely a +fav!

There are a lot of cool little things in there that are....well, they're cool. I particularly like the polygon-included Sonic models on the right. If I were a robot, I guarantee you that I would have 3-D models of everything in my line of sight displayed in my HUD. The perspective seems a little high, but there are plenty of explanations I would accept for that. He could be jumping, flying, or standing on a phonebook.

Dude, I hope you don't mind if I nab this and make it my desktop background... because when I saw it I believe I let out a high pitched fanboy yelp....

My cat's looking at me funny now... I think she thinks I'm a mouse now...

Oh well... anyway, this looks awesome! I'd love to see something like this in a cutscene for a Sonic game or something...
