I just registered to this site to comment on this picture. I've seen it floating around the web in recent weeks and decided to hire a fabricator to make this into a live costume. I'm happy to have found the origin of this artwork and would like to say the Japanese themed star wars is amazing.
Now that I know who made this artwork, if you don't mind, I'd like to make it into a costume.
I'll even post some pics upon completion of the costume at the end of the year. I hope to have this made before the next star wars movie comes out in December.

Hey cgfelker, this is "Darthgrandeur'. I made a new account. That way the name doesn't make it feel limited to just star wars for my cosplay. Thought I'd let you know, I commissioned the helmet piece to be made in Sept. In the meantime, I'll be making this costume from leather with some slight modification to make the build easier. I'll post at the end of the year.

It's coming together. It's not exact, but this costume will be evolving through next year.

Frigging awesome. May I give an idea for you to do? I love starwars and have been seeing your samurai forging skills and I was thinking to myself "he should totally do a gordan freeman in the hazard suit with a blended samurai look!" Idk if youve played half life or notbnotbut I would assume youve at least heard of it. You should do one
