Wow, I almost didn't recognize her at all. What a difference completely changing someone's look makes, huh?
I kinda have mixed feelings about the new hat. I suppose I'll get used to it, in time...

hehe I knew someone would miss the hat, and it was always a big part of her design but it just started to not feel right! I love drawing this new one, and I did keep some elements of the old hat. c8

I can totally understand that - characters grow and evolve, it'd be weird and wrong to force them to always stay exactly the same. And anyway, I guess I'm more excited about seeing more of these guys from you than anything else!
(I've recently started scripting a part of Cop Story involving teenagers. Now that I'm an adult writing teens feels weird... in fact I don't even remember writing kids when I was a kid, my characters were almost always adults.)

I've learned so much about character and story and just design in general in the last little while that a lot of what my characters were just aren't what I want them to be anymore! I mean, at the core it's still the same but I gotta accept to let go of stuff that just isn't working hehe and really try to understand these guys! It's like an ever evolving thing I know, haha, but I'm going to try doing some more comics and hopefully some animations!

Yeah, I know the feeling... I was going through similar stuff when I turned The Time Police into Cop Story... like, it's acceptable already but you know you can do better so you try to do better. Anyway, best of luck with it!

I have an Asian character then I really need to redesign because his design is left over from my anime days (aka, where one ethnicity looks exactly like another orz)
