Description I really, really liked how this one came out.

Spend about 5-6 hours on it, almost none stop. Only sad part is I accidentally erased the original psd file... so I consider this piece to be complete and final, no changes shall be made for it.

looking great, stars also look great but i think its still a little too dense, hard to tell with the sun though lol

I know... Still learning how to make good star fields. Im trying different ways at the moment until I find something Im comfortable with and can make my own way.

it definitely looks a lot better and doesn't look like a screen, keep up the good work and you'll make great star fields

I really like the blue planet's texture here good stuff!
though my suggestion would be to desaturate the small planet's colour a bit, as the yellow is much too saturated
I've seen a tutorial once that implied that fully saturated colours are very unnatural looking.

furthermore you can use the shadows on the planets to imply the distance to the light source.
right now the "light/shadow" ratio are the same on both planets, meaning that both planets are equally far away from the sun, which destroys some of the sense of depth.

I like the background, keep it up!
too bad about your loss of the psd file, though
I can understand how you must feel, I've lost some psd files in the past, too.
I've learned to save my project file twice from that day on
