I'm sure your animations aren't mediocre have more faith in yourself or you'll end up making the same mistake like I did where I thought everything looked bad and ended up losing motivation to finish any animations.

The mouth doing the frown looks fine, A little tip (I'm not good at giving criticism) But when the mouth grinned it didn't look quite right to me for some reason. Have you tried doing stretch (im not sure what its actually called) animation on the mouth where you drag the top left and right inwards sorta like this for a frame before it stop (This is why it took a bit of time to reply i was doing this little scribble animation) :
