CLAYFACE.. the next villian in my Batman Rogue gallery that I have been working on. Another favorite Batman villian of mine.. this goes with the man-bat, scarecrow, Mr. Freeze that I have done as well. next will be Joker!Related content

chad this is dope as hell! how did u get the bkgrnd to look like that? i c some possibilities for that effect that u kinda touched on here. like what if those shapes in the bkgrnd were a little more black tim bradstreetish and were warped people/bodies without drawing away from the main figure too much? possibilities!

This is how that background happened. I finished the pic and wanted something that would work well for him, but could never create anything that looked good. I played around with this all day, and made nothing that looked cool. Then I looked down at my cup of hot chocolat with the marsh mellows melting in it. Then it hit me, this is what I was looking for, and I drew what I saw from the cup, and bang, I have my background! it worked out well, and gave me the ozzing effect that went with the character. crazy how inspiration hits you sometimes!! lol

Clayface from Batman the Animated Series was one of my personal favorites, too. Lord, the animation they put into that guy. Great stories, too. I love the episode where Clayface finds his structural integrity disintegrating. It was a poignant episode (and that musical score was amazing) and it has the cool scene where Clayface sucks Batman into his body and tries to smother him.

The only clayface I don't like is in the new "THe Batman" series. He's sometype of weird gray and almost like a venom rip off in that series.
