"The Red String of Fate"According to the myth, the gods tie an invisible cord around the ankles of those that are destined to meet one another in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. Often, in Japanese culture, it is thought to be tied around the little finger.
The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break.

So, I've started fangirling over Zutara again after I've just finished TLOK just this year (I know, I'm as slow as a turtle duck) and started re-watching ATLA ;A; I remember now how in love I was with the series and Zuko and Zutara and I'm never letting go .__. so here's a zutara fanart for you guys. You know, I can imagine this happening: Zuko and Katara are married but they are in love with each other, but they won't cheat their partners because they respect them.
