When Lord of The Rings: Two Towers hits the big screen the 19th DA will be flooded with fan art, so I thought I should get a head start
Both the modeling and texturing here is kinda simple, but it looks really nifty when animated (the fire is a seamlessly looping mov-file)
I had a ring-tutorial a year ago that got wasted in the warhol-crash. I remember that I really wanted to add the inscriptions to the ring, so now i finally got around to downloading a tengwar-font and i did my best to recreate the inscriptions

Chain you dont perchance still have the screen saver do you? I just got 3D Max 6 and it came with no tutorials so im having a ball and a nightmare getting anything out of it (never used it or one of the previous versions before). I look forward to the tutorials you talk about putting up and hope someone offers you an ftp to host them on.

the reason why i couldn't make this larger is the resolution on the flames in the bg. they would become pixelated if i made them larger, that's why i uploaded a ring without background that could be used as a desktop on all resolutions.

Great work on the elven lettered etching, though didn't they glow when they became visible? - those flames are pretty impressive, I can picture them flickering in my mind. Good job.
