You'll have to figure out how to view cross-eyed stereograms first...

Keep trying
(note that this is probably not the best image for practicing)

I can't get my eyes to cross focus long enough to read it ;3;

Just a bit more practice then... Or you could cheat and put the two images on top of each other in Photoshop and set blending to "difference"

Awww, but I don't know where to line 'em up ;3;

Yep. That will let you see the difference between the two images (what causes the depth) and read the message

This is an autosterogrammatic photomanipulation: [link]
And this is a 'found' autostereogram! [link]
See our gallery for more 'arranged' pairs, found pairs, and 'wallpaper' as well as a few real stereoscopic pairs.

Yep
I admit I had to copy-paste that into a text editor and view it with a monospaced font

hmm... why? I deliberately put the same characters on each line to overcome different spacings...

Only way to get it perfect would be to use a monospaced font, if you look now the lines/characters have a slightly different length (at least on this computer). I'm sure the font anti-aliasing affects it a bit as well (I'm at work on OSX now and it uses a different algorithm than Windows).
I saw it now without copying it out and it still works fine, but the lines/characters get slightly different depths.

...well thats interesting. On my system (Win7, FF3.5) all lines have exactly the same length. Can't see any anti-aliasing / subpixel artefacts as well.

Without having checked the cleartype/smoothing options in Win 7 (enabled by default i assume) the Windows algorithm for font smoothing tends to "snap" the edges of the fonts to whole pixels to make small font sizes appear sharper and easier to read (but larger font sizes look more ugly). This might affect it?
The font smoothing on OS X is true to the actual shape of the character causing prettier/smooth text rendering, but gets slightly less readability on very small font sizes compared to Windows.

Here's a monospaced one, i used (code) tags around it.
