Description
Where is your Gaben now?
Featuring Neon Lights (unicorn), Sir Pony Moore / Bruce Mane (earth pony), and Twilight Sky (pegasus), all of which have identical cutie marks. The coats of Neon and Sir Pony Moore aren't identical by give or take 5 RGBs, the latter of which also appears consistently in the show with a brighter tail than mane. I threw in Twilight Sky to make it a group of three ponies despite his distinguishable color scheme, but also to make this a group of an earth pony, a pegasus, and a unicorn. I think he has a pretty sick design and is only one of three pegasi I know of with it.*
Adding to the list of possible "threes" this image has, I also went for three different head orientations, though I suppose two of them are 3Q head angles. The "profile" head angle wouldn't necessarily fit if I wanted all three of them to be looking toward you.
I'm not immediately aware of any other ponies that have this cutie mark (at least in true-white color; I know of two mares who have variations of it), but it's only one of many cutie mark designs recycled across the different background ponies (the others, to name a few, being telescopes, raindrops, rain clouds, suns, lyres, and the most known of them all, hourglasses).
Time:
Neon Lights: 4 hours
Sir Pony Moore / Bruce Mane: 3 hours
Mostly traced from ponies from Luna Eclipsed (Season 2, Episode 4) and Wonderbolts Academy (Season 3, Episode 7)
- Despite what most fan labor and the blindbag figure depicts him as, I believe Twilight Sky is originally and genuinely a pegasus pony design, given that he has wings in his first appearance (though heavily obscured) however only for them to disappear (probably from an error) in his next two appearances in the same episode (Season 1, Episode 17: Green Isn't Your Color), while the rest of his appearances in Season 2, 3, and 4 display him as a pegasus pony and never as an earth pony again. This, as opposed to other one-off pegasus versions that were simply existing earth ponies with wings added on that were never used prior nor since Sonic Rainboom (Season 1, Episode 16). It's why I commissioned this piece of art.
- "Neon Lights" was merchandised as "Rising Star", though the name did not come with a trademark. You are free to use whatever name you wish, on the other hand. One is not more correct nor wrong than the other, although several months later, "Neon Lights" was adopted officially in the 11th set of blindbags.

I always thought Twilight Sky was a relative of Twilight Sparkle; the name and a cutie mark so similar to Twilight Velvet's was too much coincidence. But I didn't realize how much the three stars cutie mark gets around.
I also didn't realize that under the jacket, all you have to do to switch from Twilight Sky to Neon Lights and back is to switch the mane and body colors. Think maybe they're related?

I get Bruce Mane being a pun to Batman's true identity, but what's the Bruce Mane/Neon Lights reference?
