Oh well. Inklings in Mario Kart and Improved Battle mode is already amazing! I did like that Inkstriker Quad. Really clever Nintendo.


Now to wait for the Nintendo Switch to actually get stock again. >:v

That would probably be a pretty great Anti-Gravity Battle Stage! Or the Nintendo GameCube Battle Arena...

Actually, I wish they'd make a Nintendo Switch Battle Arena. It was clever of Nintendo to have made the GameCube and Nintendo DS stages in their respective games. It was fun battling on the console itself. Shame it never happened again in Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7.

Thank you!! Yeah, I'd love to see another DLC Pack for Mario Kart 8 as well.


It'd be neat if the Splatoon DLC Pack included new Battle Arenas, which Mario Kart 8 lacks. It fits the theme for Splatoon with the Turf Battles! (We've already got a crazy amount of tracks. There really should be add-ons to Battle Mode...)

That or as official fighters in Super Smash Bros. 4. (The costumes are a nice add though)

That would be a really interesting concept.

I'm really hoping that if Nintendo makes a new DLC Pack, it really should contain Battle Arenas instead of Race Tracks.


"Splatoon X Mario Kart 8" would be perfect for such a setting! Could have similar areas from the battle maps seen in Splatoon. Most likely implementing Anti-Gravity, and Items instead of paint weapons... (Or they could be paint-themed somehow.)

yeah and they could have even had a single battle course that would literally be a sphere that you can drive all around, and that would have been more fun than the remade tracks, with the shells "orbiting" and all.

If I had the code/game creation program they had I could make such things, but I'm stuck with my moderate intel. on Java on, Free use, Unity. witch results in little options. (my game Sniper Kart (witch is in my gallery for the progress)) is my attempt at making such a thing atm.

I'm more of a level designer and not a programmer to say the least XD

they could make like the shells paint bombs that exploded in paint on the stages, the boomerangs being paint brushes, fire flower being well paint balls, bombs being paint mines, and lightning, NUCLEA- *cough* um Orbital Paint Strike!

well at least they gave us GBA Ribbon Road, Cheese Land, and GCN Baby Park.

In terms of level designing, I've made a bunch of Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars levels (which I have a journal of it).

A tiny Moon-like stage or globe arena would be really cool, with the whole Anti-gravity concept. (I'm surprised they didn't make Excitebike just a long straight path with the second half going upside-down, you know what I mean? It would be like the original, but that would mean there wouldn't be any turns at all.)

Even the GameCube Stage could feature Anti-Gravity, or if they made a Wii U GamePad Stage for battling. (The GameCube and Nintendo DS Battle Arenas were really interesting. Shame they didn't do something like that in Wii and 7 [3DS])

I think in Splatoon, the Killer Wail is the "Orbital Paint Strike" in a way...
And I was thinking that. The shells would break and leave a paint mark. Same for the Fire...er, Paintballs. Bob-ombs as Splat Bombs. Could be just cosmetic, since the main focus in MK8 is Balloon Battle. (They really should include more modes. Racing is fun, but Battles are amazing in their own sense too)

Dude, Bob-omb Blast was such an amazing mode in Double Dash! While it can be replicated with Bob-ombs Only items in Battle, it's not the same. :\ (Also, Double Dash is the only Mario Kart that I don't own... but I've played it before.)

I played all of them but I didn't own the original 2 (lost Super Circuit, my first)

and Shine thief was also pretty good, I more so was a battle mode for other than balloon.

Though at least the racing portion has gotten better.
