Description
Recruitment Building: Interior (Time: 14:30)Sododo walked in as he looked around and saw a Receptionist- different from the one he knows- at the front. He approaches the female as he asked, “Excuse me, is Suhaha in today?”
“Ah, yes- he’s currently meeting with our other Receptionist, Runini.” The individual responded.
“Great- thanks!” The Second Lieutenant said before running off.
On the second Floor, Sododo soon ran up to the Major, who was talking to Runini. “Excuse me, Major?”
“Ah, hello Sododo!” Suhaha admitted with a smile.
“Oh, hey again!” Runini said with a smile.
“Runini, I hate to interrupt with…whatever you were talking with, I need to talk with the Major in private.” Sododo admitted.
“Umm…okay? He was just saying hi and asking how I was doing.” Runini admitted.
“Oh, er sorry...” Sododo admitted.
“Oh, it’s fine, no worries Sododo.” The major said.
Recruitment Building: Exterior
“So tell me, how are things with your Platoon at the moment, Sododo?” Suhaha asked.
“…Puriri still doesn’t remember anything that happened after the alarm ringed.” Sododo admitted.
“…I cannot begin to apologize for what I have done.” The Major admitted, sounding down. “it is as you you said before- it is my fault that I even brought up that mission. And now thanks to me, Puriri lost memories important to her- she still has no idea on what past was like.”
“I actually reminded her.” Sododo admitted. “It’s everything beyond that particular point in the past she doesn’t remember.”
“But…why did you choose to work with me, ever after what I said and done?” The elder asked. “Forgive me, I am old so I might be a bit slow on the uptake.”
“…Because this is just much more than personal matters- this is about my platoon, our past. Your past weaved a web of trouble that everyone that you knew got caught up in.”
Sododo said.
“Our problems…are tied with yours.”
3.25 Years ago: Barracks: Fortress’ Room (Time: 19:30 Hours)
Sododo walks into the room as he and Masasa walked into to Fayaya who was wearing her mask and…the sound of sobbing? “Fayaya, are you alright?”
“I’m fine sir- Puriri’s back and…” Fayaya tried to say before noticing the new face. “Hey, who’s the new guy?”
“This here is Masasa- he’s the guy I recruited into the Platoon for our scout position.” Sododo said.
“…How old is he- he looks a little short.” Fayaya admitted. “I mean, I know I was 12 years old when I joined last year, but this guy is…short- like as tall as Puriri short.”
“I’m 10 years old- going to turn 11 in a few months in September.” Masasa said.
“…” Fayaya gave a smirk behind her mask as ‘he’ admits, “Well aren’t you the spunky one. Why are you joining our platoon? I happen to be 13 and single.”
“I’m filling the scout position- duh. Didn’t you hear what you’re boss said?” Masasa said, being a smart aleck. “And I don’t date guys.”
“Aww you’re no fun.” Fayaya said, sounding pouty.
“And you’re pretty much flamboyant.” The black tadpole said in response.
Sododo somehow ignored the comments as he walked over to where the sobbing was coming from as he noticed it was from Puriri’s supposed bed with the curtains was drawn.
“Puriri? I know you’re 15 and all and you look like one, but this is no time to be acting like a child.” …There appears to be no response but the sobs lessened up. “Listen, I don’t know that if Fayaya told you that weren’t supposed to go on spy missions until you were ready, but you clearly disobeyed orders. You-”
“I’m sorry…” Puriri admitted from the curtain as she gives a bit of a hiccup.
Sododo looked surprised upon hearing that. –Outpost Sunset- plays as he said, “Puriri, what happened back there?”
“I…I failed the objective.” Puriri from behind the curtain admitted before giving a bit of a sniff. “The…the base I was supposed to infiltrate from the old man’s request was heavily guarded by animals… No…I mean Keronian experiments.”
“What?!” Sododo exclaimed.
“I was sneaking by when I noticed a lot of Keronians transformed…but then I noticed a grey one- like a dragon. I kept sneaking by and I thought I saw bird one- one with the same color as you, but…it looked like a bird or something- with the name ‘Rizaza’ on a plaque. I tried to open the door, but then I stepped on something But soon the alarms were blaring and… the next thing I know, I…was in a really dark room…and I remember…being in a room no one else was. I felt really scared…then I saw a huge…dizzying dial- and a voice saying that people will desert me for what I do. Then the monster from before appeared. I tried to run from it, even turn invisible, but…I tried to call for you, but…you didn’t come- none of you did. I felt really scared…I screamed. But then I was suddenly here, hearing Fayaya to calm down before I was in the arms and Fayaya saying goodbye to someone who closed the door.” The spy said. “She told what happened…I…I failed…and not only that…I spilt some information. Vital information.”
“Rizaza…? That can’t be… Puriri, what are you saying?!” Sododo said opening the curtains, before noticing Puriri was shaking she faced Sododo with her eyes red, as well as the areas underneath it a bit red and her nose dripping. It looked she was crying for a while as Sododo looked angry but…eased up seeing her like this. “Puriri, you…”
“Are you… Are you mad?” Puriri said, quivering.
“O…Of course I’m mad! You disobeyed an order, and you failed your mission you weren’t ready for!” The swordsman said in frustration, holding back himself. “But…you just made me really worried, alright?! I was afraid that you were captured or something happened!
And seeing you like this confirmed my fears true!”
“I’m sorry…I’m so sorry….” Puriri admitted.
“…How did you get back?” Sododo asked.
“I…I don’t remember.” Puriri admitted, sounding depressed while holding her head.
“Actually a steel blue tadpole brought her here.” Fayaya admitted. “He said that she went through a traumatic experience- he also said that she failed her mission. Not only that…he said that she’ll have a hard time remembering stuff- she doesn’t remember anything from before meeting you.”
“You don’t…remember?” Sododo asked. “You don’t remember how we met or why you were afraid of that monster?”
“N-no…” Puriri admitted as she held her head. “Everything is just…a huge blur to me.”
“A voice and a dizzying…tile…” Sododo realized what she meant and just said, “Hypnosis!”
“Hy-Hypnosis?!” Puriri shrieked. “Please no! D-don’t mention that!”
“Puriri, I just figured out why you were-” The leader tried to say, but then Puriri looked really terrified before drawing her curtain close. “Puriri?!”
“D-don’t you dare use that on me! I don’t want to do anything bad! I don’t want to betray you again!” Puriri said as she sounded terrified. “I-I don’t want to be all alone because I harmed you!”
“…That must be how she spilled the beans.” Fayaya theorized, somehow calm amidst the trouble. “Obviously someone used Hypnosis on her- and through a suggestion, she pretty much spilled the beans, blacked out her memories or even surfaced fears.”
“Huh?” Masasa admitted.
“Puriri…” Sododo said, realizing that she was clearly traumatized of what happened. He gave a defeated sigh. “I’m in need of some air after all of this. Masasa, why not you get to know your new companions while I go find Kabubu?”
“Actually Kabubu checked back. I didn’t tell him what happened yet and he assumed Puriri went to a sad movie.” Fayaya said. “I don’t if he had noticed it, boss. But he is waiting outside- you must’ve passed each other.”
“Thanks, Fayaya.” Sododo said, now sounding calmed before walking outside of the room as the theme ends.
Outside of the Barracks…
Kabubu was talking to a Keronian wearing a VERY familiar coat as Sododo walked down the stairs. Kabubu noticed his friend as he gave a casual “Ey, Sododo! Ya came back before I noticed ya!”
“Hey, Kabubu.” Sododo said with a sigh, but then noticed the coated individual. He gave a wide eyed expression as he realized something. The coated individual stepped back but then Kabubu grabbed him by collar of the jacket with his left hand as he said, “YOU!”
“Huh- H-hey! What’s goin’ on?!” Kabubu exclaimed as –The Nightmare- plays.
“You…you let Puriri accept that mission?!” The swordsman yelled as he held the man with one hand. “You knew the risk of what was going to happen didn’t you?! You knew that it was too dangerous for someone like Puriri at her level to get in there without being found out! And yet you let accept the mission?!”
“Sododo, Calm down!” Kabubu exclaimed. “What’s goin’ on ‘ere?!”
“This guy gave us a mission- a spy mission. He wanted Puriri to infiltrate a base he discovered and find out what were they up to. I had my suspicions about this guy, but Puriri flew at the chance to finally go into her first spy mission.” Sododo explained.
“However, I was against it. I knew she wasn’t ready yet. I was going on ahead on my own when Puriri caught up. I didn’t know what she was hiding from me but…now I know it was the request; The mission from you!”
“WHAT?!” Kabubu exclaimed. “Ya mean that mission you were tellin’ me about that you didn’t want Puriri to do?! That mission?!”
“Yes. She actually took off and tried to complete this mission, but she failed…and she lost her memories of her own past and what happened during it…” Sododo said. “I couldn’t of been there to stop her… if you hadn’t of offered that mission, Puriri would’ve been fine!”
“…I’m sorry…” A familiar voice said.
“You’re SORRY?!” Sododo exclaimed before bring his right arm and said, “You’re sorry for giving my friend a mission that would traumatize her?! You’re sorry for something would’ve caused her fears to be surfaced?! You’re sorry for turning a young friend of mine into a bundle of nerves thinking she let me down and I would leave her?! Well then I should say I’m sorry too then because…you what you’re saying to me is just NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!” He then slugged the face of the Keronian and sent him flying a few yards.
Sododo gave a couple of gasps as he looked like he was trying to calm down before the black figure suddenly snapped unto his feet as the figure said, “Ooof…you hit as hard as father, that’s for sure.”
“…What?” Sododo said as he faced the hooded Keronian as the theme ends.
“I am truly, truly sorry for what has happened to your platoon- at least to you, your friend, and your best friend.” The Keronian figure said before removing his hood. “Your fathers were good friends of mine in my time of trouble.”
“Oi- ‘ow you’d me old man?!” Kabubu asked before clearing his throat. “Sorry- I meant How did you know him?”
“We were in the same platoon.” The figure said as it suddenly shifts to show Suhaha facing the two as –Suhaha- (or Beyond this World of Woe) plays. “Allow me to properly introduce myself- Formally I was once Captain, and now I am the newly promoted Major Suhaha.”
“Suhaha…” The Captain said.
“I’ve been known for some cases of farsight, but I believed that even though the consequences were severe, there was some clues of corruption your friend has seen, correct.” The Major said.
“So you knew that this was going to happen.” Sododo said. “And yet you did nothing to change it?”
“What you heard from your friend should’ve been a clue of something greater ahead in the road.” Suhaha said. “A vital clue.”
“She said Rizaza…and Puriri also said she had the same color as mine…” Sododo said. “…Mother.”
“Oi- you said that Puriri may of seen yer mom?!” Kabubu exclaimed.
“No doubt in my mind about it now.” Sododo admitted. “She’s still alive but captured. And I can guess right, so is your mom, Kabubu.”
“Y-y-s-cs-You’re serious?!” Kabubu said in surprise. “Bloody brilliant! She could be alive!!”
“Where do you think they are?” Sododo asked.
“Most likely in where Puriri went.” Kabubu admitted. “But…I’m afraid that the location is lost to me.”
“Damn!” Sododo exclaimed… But then he noticed a connection. “Wait, could that also be why they could’ve blanked out Puriri’s memories?”
“That is my guess.” Suhaha admitted. “Puriri’s memories are the key to figuring out where your mothers are being kept.”
“But who would kidnap our mothers?” Kabubu asked.
“…I know who.” Suhaha said as a form of appration formed behind him as if to reveal who it is- “Vekuku.”
“Vekuku…?” Sododo parroted.
“He is a scientist that takes interest in experimenting- he must’ve changed your mother by now and kept her in the labs.” The Major admitted.
“Why are you telling us this?” Kabubu admitted, intrigued. “…Is it because of our fathers?”
“It is because you two and your platoon are caught up with something that- for you two- started with the death of Sododo’s father.” The elder admitted. “If you want to unravel this mystery, then you must stay the course with me and hope to find out.”
“…” The two looked to each other before nodding off to each the leader say, “You pretty much owe a platoon mate of mine a huge apology when this is all over- for giving her that doomed mission.”
“I will.” Suhaha said, bowing. “Your friend’s failure will not be in vain- but her…current psychology will be called into question. I do hope that you will resolve that before the superiors take notice of it.”
“We’ll try to resolve it.” Sododo said. “As long as she’s with us, she won’t be alone…not anymore.”
Fortress’ Room
In the room, Masasa was seen on the side of Puriri’s bed when he gave a sly look before looking into the curtain. Puriri looked to be huddled up before Masasa decided to poke her head. Puriri gave a bit of a look as Masasa gave a bit of a nod- although words weren’t heard, Puriri gave an intrigued expression to what the thief said but just sighed as she decided to listen.
Present Day: Outside of the Recruitment building
“Ah yes…” Suhaha admitted. “But I’m surprised you actually forgave me on that behalf.”
“Vekuku is trying to get us stuck in his web, and one of those days, he’s gonna that line and we’re pretty much gonna spirally down into a drain.” Sododo said. “One of these days we have to end this thing…we find the lab, set free the experiments, and put down that freak.”
“…I admire your determination, but might I remind you that you had two takes on that attempt…” Suhaha admitted. “The first attempt was with Puriri to see what’s happening.”
“Right, and the second attempt was with Masasa. He may not remember this, but…he wanted payback on Vekuku for what he did to Puriri. One of his earlier missions… unveiled something to us. When he left, he was usual self- calm cool, collected, but often mischievous and even curious…but when he returned, he looked drastically different. He was…dark- brooding…he was most of the dark stuff, but it as if it mixed in to his current outlook- as Fayaya puts it ‘he took a step into the dark side…and he was sucked into it.’ He even started peeping in on the girls. But…he also got some odd ideas- some that Puriri took- like since she became she will need to know as much as the person is. Although he ws dark…Puriri became close to him as a friend- like Night and day. In fact…one of his first missions were with Puriri and the two worked together swimmingly. Although the markings on his hands didn’t go away, it looked like the other parts were starting to. He actually helped Puriri to recover...although that was only a given.”
“…But what has happened?” Suhaha asked. “What has caused ‘Masasa’ to go after his revenge?”
“Let’s just say his last mission with us started for some…vengeance and ended in failure much similar to Puriri’s.” The swordsman said.
Three Months ago: The Barracks
-Daydream no. 19- plays as Puriri was in her bed reading a file on someone as Masasa soon looked down from his bunk. He climbed down the bunk as he is seen with his eyes green, but his hands now red a bit. “Hey, Puriri- got a minute?”
“Of course I do, Masasa.” Puriri said with a smile. “What’s up?”
“So tell me, how were tech things you’ve been getting working out?” The scout asked.
“Well, they are helping me considerably- I mean, look.” She said as looked a bit…taller until she pressed something on her leg for the legs to glow, only for it to be high tech stilts, with some prism-like glass built in. “These things really help with my disguising now- no problem!”
“That’s good, that’s good.” The male said before something drops onto the bed that would give the girl a look before giving a really intimidated look before she made like a cat and went to the other side of the bed. “What?”
“W-why would you have THAT?!” Puriri said, looking terrified.
Puriri immediately pointed at what fell onto a bed…it appears to be a basic hypnosis set.
“It’s a Hypnosis set. Why?” Masasa asked with a bored look.
“That’s because I HATE Hypnosis! I fear Hypnosis!” Puriri said, shaking like a leaf.
“…First off, Really? You’re still afraid of Hypnosis?” Masasa admitted. “Second, it’s just a toy. Why?”
“I-I…” Puriri tried to say before she looked really nervous and fidgety. “It was because of a mission right before you joined you see. I’d talk about, but it brings bad memories…”
“…So that’s why you were pretty much cowardly when I first met you.” Masasa admitted.
“J-j-j-j-j…Just keep that away from me, Please…” Puriri admitted as she looked nervous.
“…Fine. But all I was trying to do was help get over that fear and I figured that this is where we could start.” Masasa said before tossing the toy away, but heard the toy hit something off someone.
However, it's seen that he got grabbed by a Navy blue hand on his shoulder as Sododo said, “Masasa. We need to talk. NOW.”
“Huh?” The male admitted before suddenly pulled away his superior and dragged across the floor before the door was shut.
“What happened?” Fayaya asked as she came down to the ground without her mask. “Did Masasa sneak the dirty stuff in again?”
“N-no, Sododo must’ve noticed what Masasa got.” Puriri said as she trembling.
“Whoa, what happened to you? I haven’t seen you shake like that since three…” Fayay athen realized something. “He bought something hypnosis based, didn’t he?”
“Y-yes.” Puriri admitted. “All he was trying to do was help me.”
“Oooh boy…I had a feeling this is going to be explained sooner or later.” Fayaya admitted. “Ever since he that particular mission when he came back on mostly red, he’s been all…broody- like he went both punk and goth at the same time and yet, he’s still there. I know it’s gonna sound weird and all, but then again this isn’t news to you…but it’s a bit of a turn on for me.”
“Oh no…” Puriri said, stopping her shaking just so she could roll her eyes.
“Not to mention how he got that dirty stuff was something- he also became of a…perv, you know?” Fayaya admitted.
“I know what you mean.” Puriri said as she sat normally (for her). “Ever since that incident last year, he’s been becoming a peeping tom- heck, he even peeked on us. I don’t think our current superior likes that- not only he was taking on the ‘dirty business’ like missions involving killing certain targets, you know, stuff Sododo would for executions. He doesn’t even ask if they were innocent or asked what the charges on- he just takes the job and kills them then gets paid- he’s becoming more of an assassin then…scout.”
“Yeah. I just want to know how much he’s seen- I mean there must’ve been something that happened to of REALLY messed him up. But lately there hasn’t been any reason to kill, so I guess he’s mellowing out quite a bit.” Fayaya said. “But then again…I wouldn’t want be THAT guy who gets killed…”
“But he’s our friend! We have to help him somehow- I mean can’t we just stop him from killing?” Puriri said. “I’m just hoping he doesn’t upgrade to teenage psychopath from all of this.”
“God I hope not- I’m not into necrophilia.” Fayaya admitted with disgusted face. “Crazies neither.”
“FAYAYA!” Puriri exclaimed while getting face to face. “Be serious here! Don’t try to make things more awkward enough to comprehend!”
“Okay, okay, I was just joking!” The Pyro admitted, trying to calm down. “But you do have a point- everyone’s going to give us odd looks if Masasa keeps going down this road. WE gotta straighten out Masasa, or else the Superiors are going to get our asses busted, and Masasa’s gonna be put into a mental institution!”
“Speaking of straighten out…I swear Sododo is like…a dad for a second there.” Puriri admitted. “He sometimes scold Vanini like he was problem child of his, and I’m like his little princess, even though though I’m going to turn 18 later this year.”
“I know, right?!” Fayaya said, changing tones to a cheerful one. “I’m pretty much like a big teenage (heterosexual) sister he doesn’t worry about unless necessary, and Kabubu’s the dad’s best friend! Oh- and Masasa the punk, but protective little brother!”
“Well…technically I’m older than you- I’ll be like the….little big sister?” Puriri said.
“Right!” The Pyro said with a smile. “But…who would our superior be then?”
“The grandfather with a vessel full of knowledge.” The both of them said in a jinx before the two of ‘em joined in uproarious laughter.
However, as the two laughed…the camera was on looking at them. Although no sounds were heard from the camera’s perspective.
In another room, a silhouette is seen watching them. All that it was showed is someone wearing a pickelhaube helmet and someone with copper brown eye as the individual gave a bit of a growl before to say, “Useless ingrates!” in a low voice before to show Fayaya heading up to her bed and grabbing her mask and adjusting it. “A Soldier with a deformity who went through a traumatic experience without any psychology checks afterwards, and a Heterosexual girl tricking her other members with an impish behavior, making them think she’s a boy? Add that to demo Keronian who flirts with girls and often makes mistakes during creation of weaponry while distracted, a boy who was accepting assassin’s jobs other than taking his job as a scout, and a leader of his platoon who accepts these…these…abnormalities as normal, and what I have here is just a dysfunctional Platoon. They may be better maintained than the Keroro Platoon, but even this Platoon has its obvious faults. Mercenaries…Bah! More like traitors to their kind waiting to be made!”
Meanwhile, Outside of the Barracks…
“What did I do this time?” Masasa said with a bored expression.
“That toy you brought- it was a Hypnosis set wasn’t it?” Sododo said with an expression that would say he’s only ‘a bit ticked’.
“So what? I was bored and not mention I thought it was for fun.” The scout said.
“Might I let you know that hypnosis actually terrifies Puriri.” The swordsman admitted.
“I know, I found out the hard way- but why would she be terrified of it?” The tadpole asked.
“How to begin…” The swordsman admitted as he rubbed his shoulder. “Well…Puriri was terrified of Hypnosis since her first spy mission as an actual spy. She wasn’t ready. She discovered some things but she doesn’t remember anything beyond that point.”
“W…What?” The tadpole said. “What happened afterward?”
“She saw a hallucination of her being all alone and a dizzying dial. Then…she saw the experiment- a large blue chameleon experiment I fought-” However, he notices Masasa was looking down. “…Masasa?”
“Ex…Experiment, you say…” Masasa said as he twitches his hand. “I know where he’s hiding.”
“Wait, y-you do?!” the swordsman exclaimed, surprised.
“He’s usually hiding out in that abandoned part of the building. While I was in Dark Wings, I saw a Chameleon like Keronian coming out of that building, luring some Keronians into it. They disappear once they entered it.” The boy said clenching his hand into a fist.
“So you know where the base is?” Sododo admitted.
“Back at the Abandoned Streets.” The male said before glowing in an red aura as the faded red crack markings to reappear, prompting Sododo to give a bit of a look. The boy snapped up as his green eyes turn to gold before Masasa said, “That lizard is going to learn the meaning of pain when I’m done with him! That damned Chameleon might have something to do with the jerk who did this to Puriri, and Nobody ****s up my friend and gets away with it!”
“MASASA!” Sododo exclaimed when he sees the boy run off into the direction. “Damn it!” He the presses his hide of the head as he said, “Masasa, come in! Do not do this!” However, his call falls on deaf ears…or it won’t connect. “Tch!” He then presses several keys as he said, “This is Sododo contacting anyone in Fortress Mercenaries! Patch through now!”
“Puriri here!” The spy said on the communicator. “I’m with Fayaya!”
“Puriri, you’ll have to do for now- we know I can’t reach Kabubu at the moment- Masasa’s on his way to where he guesses that chameleon from your story could be hiding! I repeat- he’s gone solo against that I fought from several years ago!” The swords man said on his line.
“Wh-what?!” Puriri exclaimed. “Where is he going?!”
“The Abandoned Streets! The ones with the decaying buildings!” Sododo said. “We’re dragging him back here just hurry up!”
“C-copy that! Puriri out!” The spy said.
Sododo then quickly rushed towards the opposite building as he said, “Masasa, you better hope you’re not dead by the time I get there!”
Abandoned streets
Masasa was walking down the street as he walked by before looking towards a tall decaying building. “Alright you lizard freak of nature! I know you’re hiding out here! Show yourself!”
“Fufufu…” A laugh was heard as the blue Keronian from the night that killed the officers (and Puriri’s parents) appeared. “So, I didn’t expect a kid to come all gung-ho on his own. My, aren’t you a brave soul…let me guess, you came because your mommy was taken? I can always being them back back, although…she’ll be a bit different.”
“I’m not here for anyone from there yet- I’m here, for you.” Masasa said, pointed his right finger at the Chameleon. “Who do you think you are, pal?”
“My name is Vidada- Named for Vidaro, a Pekoponian name of norse origin. Better known as forest warrior.” ‘Vidada’ responded while sticking a reptilian tongue out.
“We’re nowhere near a forest, and not to mention that name is girly- and it sucks! Now Masasa, it could many things- correct and jest for one, and military for two.” Masasa admits as he took a stance.
“Ahahaha! You’re fight me without a weapon?! You’re quite foolhardy! Maybe Bakaka should’ve been your name, fool!” Vidada said as he brought a new tail that looks just like the one he had before, but with a spear point at the end of it as –Spiral- plays. The Experiment lunges for the boy, yelling “This shouldn’t take too long!”
Masasa gave a bit smirk as he leapt up to dodge the attack. The Experiment uses strength to chase the boy and used his tail to whip the boy down…or so he thinks. He realizes the boy was grabbing his tail before Masasa stomped on his head when he landed on the ground. The tadpole walked off with a smirk on his face but the lizard being gave a bit of a cackle as he easily rose up. “Hey, you were supposed to stay down when I stomped your head on the ground.”
“You forgot- I’m not like other Keronians!” The Chameleon said as he stomped the ground to rise up some dust and used his tail to whip it out in all directions. He then escaped out and used to blend into the surroundings as Masasa covered his eyes from the dust flying.
“Damn. Where did he go…?” Masasa said as he looked around after uncovering the eyes. However…a moving blur was seen as the spearhead-shape appeared as he prepared to strike. Masasa notices it and jumps from the stomps on the tail, causing the beast to give a bit of growl as he reappeared.
As Sododo ran down the way, he sees Masasa kicking the face of the Keronian as Vidada gets sent backward a bit. Sododo summons his sword as he charges towards the battle. As Masasa dashed around, he soon got tripped by Vidada who gave a satisfied smirk as he wrapped the boy with his tail. However, the experiment Keronian gets hit by several gunshots on target on the body as Masasa slips through the lessened grip it created. The experiment’s eyes were definitely angry as he said, “YOU again!”
“I take it this overgrown reject and you obviously met?” Masasa admitted.
“Yes, but you completely went against orders again, Masasa.” The swordsman said. “We better make knock this thing out before we make our escape.”
“Hell no- that thing must be guarding the lab- and I’m not backing off!” Masasa said.
“Private First Class Masasa, I can’t let you do this! I’m NOT letting you throw your life away just so you could get revenge for Puriri!” The swordsman said as he deflected the attack with his drawn weapon. “And the army does not really support your vigilante actions like this!”
“To hell with the army, this thing kidnapped a lot of people just so they can be made into experiments! This thing has gotta be stopped- and the first step is make that thing take a dirt nap*!” Masasa said as he rushes the Keronian he slugged the thing in the face.
This is a reference to an RP of mine I did with the friend- how someone else said it to him.
“Well even if you do stop it, killing it won’t do any good! He’ll just make another one!” Sododo said as he slashed the tail and made a white line.
“Then we’ll know that scientist was hiding around here then!” The male tadpole said. “The experiment is just what we need to prove that this guy is up to no good!”
“Like you could catch me!” Vidada said as he used his tail again to slam the ground. “I got some modifications since our last bout, swordsman!”
The tail then began to stretch out a bit as the Keronian swung his body around and used it as a whip at Sododo- with him blocking the lashing. Sododo took the opportunity to slash the tail when the being tried again, this time leaving a white mark where Sododo slashed it. Sododo keeps slashing the tail until it was shown to have multiple white lines on it. The tail however, looked to weighing down as Sododo said, “This blade is not meant to kill but it sure is a real weight on you, doesn’t it?”
“Very clever, swordsman. VERY clever indeed.” Vidada said. “However…” He turned to his tail as he removed the tip of it before slashing off his own tail at a similar way that it was ‘cut’ the last time they fought. This startles Sododo and Masasa as the experiment said before grabbing his dismembered tail, “Let’s see your clever pun can hold water!” He then grabbed the tail as he uses it as hammer as the two out of the way, seeing where the creature left an impact.
“And I thought I seen worse twisted stuff than that- he’s using his own tail as a hammer against us!” Masasa exclaimed as he narrowly dodged a hit. “That’s like using your own arm when it’s severed!”
“Only because what I said is true- but his tail should be useless once it becomes an
inanimate object!” Sododo exclaimed.
Sododo’s bluff…actually was true as the white lines glowed and the parts of the tail broke apart into pieces. The lizard gave a bit of a growl as he admits, “That’s twice you slashed my tail! And twice I find out it’s no use to me…!”
“What can I say- that’s strike two!” Sododo said as he tried to rush him and slashed him with his sword across the center of the chameleon Keronian’s body. The being gave a bit of a groan as he doubled over, before his irises vanish and he used his animal’s ability to blend in. He leapt up towards building’s changing again to blend in as the theme ends.
“Tsk. Looks like he fled. Dishonorable coward.”
“He’ll be back.” Masasa said as he looked to his boss. “Freaks like him who craves revenge will always come back for more. So what’s the deal with him anyways?”
“That guy was the one who killed Puriri’s parents.” The swordsman said as Puriri approaches the scene, running. “He also killed a lot of rookie officers.”
“Tsk… screw capturing him after all- that makes me wish I did kill that motherf-” Masasa tried to say before noticing on Puriri who was nearby. “Puriri?!”
“Masasa, just…stop, please.” Puriri insisted. “Listen, I know what you’re doing is trying to right wrongs, but…you’re doing about it all wrong!”
“What are you talking about!” Masasa exclaimed. “Those F*****s did a lot of things- they abused their station of power, they use their ‘heroics’ to lower their own exposed mistakes to soften the blows on their reputation, they slither their ways into people’s hearts, find their weaknesses and blackmail them into working with them! I see corruption in their eyes, I can feel it radiate from them- and for to take pride in these wrongdoings.. it’s just these things that make my blood boil, rage fills my senses, and I just want to lose it! Not only that, there was also criminals that killed for the sake of killing or for revenge!”
“Well there’s no point in doing these things if everyone around sees you that you became one of them!” Puriri exclaimed in an argument. “You say that you’re righting wrongs, but all that everyone sees is a child with a psychotic mind!” She looked like she was place her hands on his shoulders as she exclaimed, “You have to stop this! If you don’t then you’ll end up going into someplace you’ll never come out of! Please, Masasa!!”
“She’s right- becoming an assailant of darkness would only deepen the wound you would recover from- we might lose you entirely- this not only effect you but the people around you would suffer. They would fear you, they would hunt you down and they would do anything in their power to stop you.” Sododo said as he points his sword at Masasa.
“Either you stop this…or they will. And if they will…that would only prove that you became what you hunted.”
Masasa seemed to give a bit of a growl as he admits, “I...”
The swordsman puts the weapon away as he looked down to the boy. “Take a look at yourself in the mirror- ever since you came out of that mission, you became something…new. We all saw that you had a grim look- I may not be a mind reader, but I can tell that something was burned into your memories that gave you that look- something you did, something you regretted.”
Masasa seemed to be a standstill before he stopped growling as a memory flashed into his mind…
He was standing in a different landscape- one of a ruined stone building of ancient origins as he gave a look around in a black, red and white landscape with his eyes golden. He looked around as puddles of black was seen on the ground and several Keronians laid on the ground- one of them was red near the puddle but…the other buddies nearby were white in color. Masasa gave a startled expression as he gave a bit of a scared expression before it turned to a guilt one. Several white- tears- flowed out of his eyes as he looked down and his hands and arms shaking as white droplets fell down to the black puddles puddles below.
Back in reality, Masasa gave a bit of a sigh as he let his arms go limp. “…Yeah. I did something like that.”
“Masasa…” Puriri tried to say before Masasa stopped her.
“Listen…I admit that I ended doing this, but…I couldn’t what Idid- it was just as described my feelings before- even my own memories blurred when I tried to remember. I can’t even think of what I did.” The scout said with his eyes away. “I wanted to reprimand with my mistake- so…I think I want to try to stop myself…at least before I do anything else.”
“…So you are willing to stop this?” Sododo asked.
“Yeah.” Masasa admitted. “I’ll promise to you and Puriri.” He then put his arm as he stood in attention, “I…will fulfill my promise- I will stop myself…from killing people- I will use any willpower I have to stop myself from ending the life of another…unless I feel as though I need to do this…”
“…” The two looked to each other with a sad look to their faces as Sododo asked, “Why do you say that?”
“Because…” Masasa tried to say beforerealizing something was coming. “He’s back.”
“Huh?!” Puriri asked as she looked around.
-Welcome to Maine- Plays as a familiar emerges from the battlefield as Vidada said, “The child…from before…”
“EEEP! It’s him!!” Puriri shrieked as she looked panicked.
Sododo was about to rush him but the hybrid stops him as he whacked the soldier down to the ground with a single punch. The scout gave a bit of a look as he said, “You want her- then you’re going to have to go through me!”
“Hmph- fine.” The Chameleon Keronian said as walked towards the male. The black tadpole gave a growl as he leapt up and tried to an aerial kick downward. A bad move- Vidada catches it easily with one hand as he said, “Have a nice trip, you freak.” He then does a throw that prevents Masasa from regaining his balance as he struck his head against the wall. Purir immediately shrieked in response as Masasa fell to the ground with blood coming out underneath his hat. The tadpole looked terrified as she looked to the chameleon as he said, “You’re all that’s left now, child.”
“N-no…” Puriri said terrified as she fell to the ground on her behind. She gave a shivering expression as she gave a loud “NOOO!!!” As she did, her whole body glow a radiant light- bright enough to force the monster to cover his eyes. He gave a bit of a growl as he immediately retreated back to the building.
“You little…I guess you’re just lucky. Fine, I’ll leave you be. But next time…you’ll taste the end of your tale- with me finally cutting loose.” Vidada said as he went into the building as the theme ends.
Sododo soon emerged as he gave a groan and shook his head he looked to his right to see Puriri gasping as she stood up, scared. However, she points to Masasa who was unconscious. The two looked terrified about what happened and gave a nod.
Present Day: Outside of the Recruitment Building
“I see…that head trauma resulted in his initial memory loss, right?” Suhaha said. “…So that’s how Vanini came into the picture- he was your scout but…his memories were lost.”
“Yes.” Sododo admitted. “Suhaha, I-“
“No, it’s fine Sododo.” The Major admitted. “The both of us known what happened next- the boy was hospitalized until he came to, without any memories of any of you.”
“It was also Masasa’s spontaneous action that had the superiors sent a new supervisor- to closely monitor us and make sure we stay in their best interest. But one thing’s for sure- it was hard to please them, considering that warning they gave us.” Sododo admitted.
“I…I just want you to know that I am truly sorry for what has happened.” Suhaha said, bowing. “Had I known the Superiors would do this, I would against it. And now you platoon is now…”
“Yeah.” The swordsman said. “But I have to admit, Masasa’s right- there is some members who let power go to their heads. Especially our…esteemed supervisor, Ivovo.”
