It's nice to see some new stuff kiddo!!!

I'm likin' the canvas! adds a nice texture with the mixed use of pastels and acrylics.

Lola! Thanks! How've you been? The only thing that pisses me off with it is that I like to blend nearly everything and these goddamn crosshatches in the canvas like to be little deadzones unless you realy get in there with a blaending tool. I guess its better than the finger bleeding it get from blending by hand.

Yeah the neckerchief and the bandages are a mix of acrylic and acrylic fabric paint and then i put oil pastel over some of it. the background is acrylic (super cheap bottle stuff my mom would use to put up stencils of chickens and flowers in the kitchen)

I thought you had forgotten me! How's that crib midget of yours? I'm doin' well! Getting ready to move again! haha I'm going to be homeless during summer. It's going to be wonderful.

It really is the worst trying to blend oil pastels with your hand..on canvas.

Have you tried using a little linseed oil to loosen up the pigments? Make it a bit more 'slick' and blendable? Or...the cheap option...Vaseline...haha I've only used that once though when throwing together something for a friend. I really don't know the long term affects buuut it worked for the moment.

I could tell the background was paint it looks more 'old fashioned' which goes really well with your style! That cheap stuff is the bomb. Don't knock it. wtf is up with moms and stenciling kitchens?

Thank you. *pssst - I'm color blind.

I think it helps with my contrast and color choices. I can see color, my brain just can't process the translation of where the spectrum starts and stops for a color to specifically say that it "BLUE" and not a blue with 15% red, before it becomes Purple. I guess I see in more cools and warms than colors. _Kinda like the PRedator?
