Stumbled across this while browsing. Creepy, haunting...not exactly what one thinks of when one thinks of skeletons (even in a Warhammer context...usually you think of them ripping opponents apart rather than going to the trouble of executing them, and the opponents dying fighting/being torn up like in most of your other related art), but all the more of a splinter-in-my-mind for it. The detail is impressive as well.

Honestly, this feels like it needs a backstory more than most of the other drawings I've seen (non sequitur cover art included)...it's just far enough outside the norm to beg it. How'd they capture them and why did they bother taking them alive as opposed to killing them outright (i.e. in "A Fitting End")? It actually wouldn't make for a bad ending to a comic in the vein of the others you've done, either...when I was flipping through your stuff, I was half-expecting to see it plug in somewhere with your other series'.

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you took the time to write it. It's quite a while since I did this, it was the first one I did for the magazine.

It feel odd though to get a thoughtful comment like this given that Warhammer is not really a part of my life any more, so if there was to be a backstory to this pic, or an extended graphic narrative I wouldn't be the one to write/draw it (feel free if that's your thing ).

Nonetheless, thanks again
