Description
This probably isn't literally photo #1 in my life, but it's really close. It's definitely the first photo on this particular roll of film, and judging by the age of my little sister in one photo, this photo dates from when I was approximately 7 years old... and contains proof that it does sometimes snow in Seattle! It was taken on a Kodak 126 camera... love those old square photos! I still have a working 126 with Ansco lenses, but I haven't used it in ages and ages. It's very hard to find film for them... go figure! I don't remember if it was my first camera or not-- my parents gave me my first camera when I was 4 years old. They didn't give me FILM for it until I was probably about 7 years old. Very wise of them.
My parents spent a few years badgering me into not taking several photos of everything I saw- developing was expensive, film was expensive, just take one! I would say, but it might not turn out! And they would say, well if it didn't work the first time it's not going to work the second time!
And now, years later, here I am re-learning that impulse to take multiple photos of things. Funny thing, life.
