turns out, Percy got Jinty and Pug to fill in for him and Thomas, and they appear to be painted for the job, right down to the numbers, however Jinty still thinks Thomas is the accident prone superego he saw back in 1956, and claims to be an improvement, there's a bit of squabbling but Sir Topham quickly gets their attention long enough to give them their jobs, Jinty's working with Thomas' coaches, Pug will take goods work on Thomas' branch with Sarah as his braker, one last attempt at humor and Jinty and Pug leave to find their coaches.
