Watch the version with sound here: [link]My Design Studio assignment. We were to choose our own minor projects, so I decided to create an opening title sequence for SiS. I was very far ahead in this class so I procrastinated UNTIL THE VERY LAST MINUTE so...I guess, there's not as much smooth movement as I had hoped. But I'm still quite happy with the results.
The visual style in the first half of the sequence is influenced by the title sequence for Catch Me If You Can. The drawings weren't supposed to look so rough, but my lecturer seemed to favour the rough look in my animatic so I stuck with it. Less work is always good!
Ahaha the walk cycle is a lot more ..'cat-walk' like than intended. I admit, I didn't do enough studying to do it properly. God, Spade looks like he's in pain just doing that walk.

I not gonna lie, this is pretty snazzy. Kinda has a James Bond-esc feeling to it.

Today (after replying to your last message) I thought to myself: "If I admire this person's work so much - why haven't I even checked out her gallery for more yet!?" so I did lol this opening sequence looks like it must've taken a very long time to finish, but besides the impressive animation itself, I also adore the story idea you have here! I mean, characters with hairdoos based off cards? That's awesome! I love clever ideas like this

To be honest, I cut a lot of corners in this animation for the sake of handing it in on time LOL.
I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to come up with anthro card characters, but I was inspired by Hetalia's anthro character concept. These card guys were initially just doodles, I wasn't even planning to make a comic out of them until later haha.

oh my god that was just awesome, lol. That whole thing! if i had to complain a little though, i'd mark off some of Diamond's entro sequence, and add it onto another one of the beats to them walking all together, it seemed like i didn't get enough of that : D but it was so funny when it got to the end. I LOVE this.

Wow, I love the animation movements! The strutting walk is hilarious and I think the simple coloring is a lot more pleasing with such nice contrast than if it were fully rendered. Haha, I enjoy watching again and again!
